1 /5 Karson Bruce: Unlike Planet Fitness and Valley Fitness, the showers at Workout Anytime are not being cleaned even once a day. The photos I’ve attached show the same pile of bar soap that has been sitting in the showers for over a week. The second photo shows a broken soap dispenser, which has been in this condition for months. This is something that should realistically be repaired within 3 days to a week—if not the same day. Instead, desk tape has been used multiple times as a temporary “fix.” I understand that gym members have a responsibility to take care of these shared spaces, but not all do. That is why staff—or a designated cleaner—should maintain them. Items left in the bathroom for more than 24–48 hours should be thrown away or, if valuable, placed in lost and found. Currently, the locker rooms here do not meet a basic standard of care or excellence. At minimum, the showers should be cleaned and floors picked up once a day.

5 /5 Gregory Brennan - VCC: I love coming here! The gym is convenient, affordable, and perfect whether I just want a quick workout or a couple of hours to decompress. The manager, Juan, is fantastic—always welcoming and committed to keeping the space clean and safe for everyone. The owner, a JMU grad, is also a great guy who clearly cares about the community. I could go elsewhere, but I’m glad I choose this gym for my workouts.

3 /5 Shannon Joy: Raised a star with some updates-waiting on more. Locks that have been there are now being removed so lockers can be used again and I did hear back about my inquiries shortly after posting this review. While the gym is okay- I appreciate how close and affordable it is- there are issues. Often bathrooms arent cleaned and while I was seeing staff putting weights back I am no longer seeing staff doing that. Often times staffed hours either have the door locked with someone sitting at the front desk or just no staff with no notice of any kind. Today specifically the womans bathroom needed toilet paper and a male staff member says he has no access to it because his manager isnt there. I also made a couple inquiries on Tuesday and was told theyd be passed on to the manager because the desk couldnt help me with it. It is now Thursday night and there has been no contact and no change on those requests. They also have signs that say that you cant leave a lock on the lockers and yet there is some that have been locked for several days to a week. They are lower lockers and I honestly cannot reach the top ones. Its getting to the point to consider cancelling and going somewhere else.

5 /5 Karson Bruce: If you live in Harrisonburg, this 24/7 gym has all the essentials to get in a good pump. The staff are always helpful. The A/C was down/ not working well for a while. They added two more fans after I left a review of 2 stars because of how miserable the temperature was inside. They also posted an update to the community on the outside of the gym and at the front desk letting us know what is wrong and claiming to keep us updated on how the issue will hopefully be resolved in the months to come. I came back from vacation, and it felt pretty cool inside with the added fans that I had better sustained energy to get through my workout. Join workout anytime today!
