1 /5 Linh Ly: I got my nails done at this salon and despite me saying upfront to be careful with my cuticles because they are sensitive and prone to peeling, the nail technician preceded to start filing my cuticles anyway. When they started doing it I tried to stop them to tell them to be careful but instead of adjusting the cuticle removal the technician got annoyed instead and made an unpleasant face, similar to “wtf you’re being ridiculous”. Then turned to her co-worker and talked badly about me in Chinese. Unfortunately for them, I can understand Chinese and understood them talking badly about me for asking to be careful with my cuticles. I understand that cuticles clean up is needed to help the nail stay, but there are ways to cut cuticles to minimise the damage of it as with other salons I’ve gone to. The nail tech proceeded to keep being aggressive with my cuticle removals and when I tensed up due to the pain she YELLED at me aggressively to relax. I have had my nails done several times since and every other nail tech has been so kind about being careful with my cuticle care which lead to no peeling or cuticle damage. Unsurprisingly, my cuticles started to peel extremely badly after (see the photos) and it took me weeks to get them to go back to normal. Other manicures I have done since have no resulted in this level of peeling because the nail tech at this salon had damaged my cuticles even though I warned them in advance how sensitive they are. Then the only smile or niceness I got all day was when I went to pay. I’m never coming back, not just because of the poor treatment of customers but also because the retention was also absolutely horrible. The front of my nails chipped within the week! Meanwhile other salon I’ve gone to had a 4-6 weeks retention. The other reviews are so right about the level of unprofessionalism of this place.

1 /5 sticky bear: Updated review:- I am posting this review on behalf of a family member who came here for eyelashes extension but her eyes got infected and could not open her eyes after the eyelashes extension! Owner had to struggle for several hours to complete the job and as it was late and she was famished (havent had dinner after her work), my family member had to leave. Owner said she will refund her instead. The next day, she ghosted my family member when she demanded a refund. I came into the shop on Saturday to collect the refund on behalf but she was closed at 6.30pm instead of the advertised 8pm. This morning I came again to take the refund for my family member, owner refused and said my family had to come personally instead although she already told her she needs to work. Owner purposely made it very difficult for the refund, she wont PayId or direct debit, very unprofessional and unethical. She wont speak to me, ignored me and I thought she could not understand English, until another customer had to translate to me as Owner was speaking in her foreign language to another customer! So RUDE! Then my family member came into the shop herself to get the refund as Owner demanded, but she asked my family member to wait until she finished the nail job, which was very very unreasonable and unprofessional! After a lot of DRAMA, owner finally provided the refund, which proves the authenticity of this poor review and the unprofessional job performed by Uniche. I will lodge a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs, Health Complaints Commissioner, Victorian Dept of Health, and APHRA, if this issue persisted and more lies or drama created by Uniche based on her response to this review.
