2 /5 Christina Viney: I’ve been a customer of Miss Urban for > 5 years. I used to really appreciate the quality and service, but both have gone downhill in recent times. Last Friday I had a pedi and a Shellac mani. I had booked online and allowed for the allocated 40 mins for the pedi and 35 mins for the mani. I prefer to do them separately and get quality work, as when I’ve had my mani done in the pedi chair I’ve always found the finish to be average. As soon as I was in the chair for the pedi the staff wanted to begin on my mani at the same time. When I resisted and said I wasn’t in a hurry and wanted them done separately, she continued to cut and file my fingernails. This despite there being only one other customer in the salon and plenty of staff sitting idle. I felt rushed, which was the last thing I wanted when this was supposed to be my pamper time in the midst of a very busy week.
When I eventually sat in the mani chair and had my fingernails done, sure enough the cut and shape of my fingernails wasn’t right. And the kicker? My Shellac is now chipping… just five days later.
I’ve been a loyal customer of Miss Urban over a long period of time but the decline in quality and service, not just at this last appt but at my last couple prior to that, means that sadly I won’t be returning.
