1 /5 C Walpole: My therapist had made me very uncomfortable. (I think her name was Jess). During the service, while I was half undressed, with a hot wax on, the lady asked me some questions. When she found out that this was my first time coming to get the service at the salon, she ran out of the room and came back with a form. She then proceed and asked me to fill out the form while I was still laying down on the table (where she left me). Whilst I understand that she may really need me to have the form completed because it was my first visit, but I do not think it was right or appropriate to be asked to do so, given that I was laying on the table, half undressed with a hot wax on. I had already mentioned over the phone, 2 hours prior, when I made the appointment. So they could have asked me to fill the form when I came 5 minutes earlier than my appointment time.
Later when I thought the occurance may just have been an honest mistake. She asked me a few other questions, which two of them were about my nationality and what type of ‘natural’ hair that I have. These questions had made me even more uncomfortable and I couldn’t think any possible reasons why these might be relevant to the service. I have been to many other salon before for waxing, never had I been asked such questions, so I don’t think its normal? She didn’t give me any explanation either to why she needed to ask.
I was not going to put this up on review, but I thought you should know so that other people will not be going through how I feel.
