1 /5 Alperen Akın: I brought my patient to this clinic for an iron infusion. Initially, they called me and said they needed to reschedule my appointment because they were overbooked. What am I supposed to do about that? If you’ve taken on too many appointments, why are you trying to cancel mine? I told them I didn’t want to reschedule, and in a sad tone, they said, “No.” It felt like they were looking for people naive enough to let their appointments be canceled.
A few days later, they called me again and said, “We noticed your insurance has changed, so we’re canceling your appointment.” However, the only thing that changed with my insurance was upgrading from Silver to Gold—nothing else changed. My PCP still referred me to the same place. Then, a few hours later, they called me back and said, “Never mind, it’s fine; we won’t cancel your appointment, but we need to change the time.”
The fact that they’re trying to reschedule people’s appointments simply because they’re overbooked is extremely disappointing. It clearly shows that this hospital has poor time management. This is supposed to be a hospital, not a business center. Just because they want to make more money doesn’t mean they can cancel other people’s appointments. They did everything they could to cancel my appointment, and in the end, they succeeded.
Don’t go to this place.
