Joe A My last experience at Tech One Auto with my 2012 Shelby was with Austin and was an absolutely amazing experience. His honesty, experience and knowledge turned a somewhat disastrous experience for me into a trustful relationship in which I will be a life-long customer. I wont get into details but the turnaround of my situation when I arrived to where I ended up when I left was transformational. Maggies positive attitude and honest nature also adds to the customer experience each time. Ill admit Im not always the easiest customer to please so writing these types of reviews is not something I do on a regular basis and only when the service is truly exceptional. Tech One Auto took over Gordon Automotive that was family owned however when you leave Tech One Auto you also feel like part of the family.

Bryan Eisenberg It’s rare to find a shop where the values aren’t just printed on the wall. At North Star Automotive, now under new family ownership, those values are alive in every interaction. Ryan took care of my son’s truck with a level of honesty and clarity that’s hard to find. He didn’t just fix the issue. He made sure my son understood what was happening and how they would handle it. No fluff. Just straightforward communication and a fair solution. What stood out most was the feeling. This is a family-owned business that treats you like one of their own. It’s focused on the customer, not just the transaction. And it’s clear they care about building real relationships that support the community, not just doing business in it. The shop itself is welcoming and clean, with a surprising number of bays ready to serve. And something tells me those bays will be busy once more people discover the kind of care and value Ryan and his family bring. We’re thankful, we’re impressed, and we’re definitely coming back.

Wes Hayslip Came here for a minor repair. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and welcoming. They knocked it out like it was nothing! The price of the repair was more than fair.

Judith Breidenbach Eddie and All Points Auto Electric are the best! We took our Subaru on the recommendation of our regular mechanic because two batteries had died in a short period of time and our mechanic couldn’t find the problem. We needed an electrical expert and All Points Auto Electric found the problem in no time! This is where you need to take your car for any electrical issues. Highly, highly recommended! Excellent work! Thank-you, Eddie! Update: Eddie just checked in with me a month or so later to see how the car is running. Excellent customer service!!

Matthew Warner Called at 9AM on a Saturday, brought the car for total brake pad + rotor replacement, service was done by 12:30PM. Fast, easy, fairly priced ($300 for service, $460 for parts + supplies), Oscar is knowledgeable and very friendly. They did have two pit bulls just kind of roaming the store but they were friendly too. The service came with a 1 year warranty, all around great experience!

Rachel Espinoza Newmans Automotive was great from start to finish. Julian was very helpful. He showed me exactly what work was needed and broke down the quote for me. Travis, Andy and Cam were also really informative and assisted me throughout the process. I opted into using the financing option they offer as well as I used one of their loaner cars that was available. Overall, they took care of my car and made sure my life wasnt too disrupted by my car needing to be worked on! I will definitely use them again the next time my vehicles need anything. Thanks!!

Larry Rieber Excellent service. They are straight forward and do the work you request without looking to do other work. I know; I keep records and have other shops that recommend work work I have just had done a few months or a few thousand miles ago. But Austin Automotive Specialists is NOT one of those shops. They are trustworthy.

Raja Tamma Ive been using Maxs shop for many years to get my cars serviced and repaired. Very honest, excellent and affordable mechanic. Few shops will match the value he provides. The shop is cluttered and there is no receptionist to greet or answer the phone and its true that calls go unanswered as another reviewer said. If you drive to the shop hoping to catch his ear, he might tersely tell you to come another day. He doesnt mean to be curt but the man doesnt have time to shake your hand, exchange greetings, send you to a service advisor for an appointment and then charge an arm and a leg. Dont expect any frills if you go to him. This is the first time I am leaving a review for Max and hes been my first choice for more than a decade. If hes not able to do whats needed, he will tell you upfront. No gimmicks. Its hard to find a mechanic as honest as Max.

Steve Takata This has been my go to Mechanic for at least 15 years. This looks like a mess with cars and various states of repair scattered about the yard, but don’t let the appearances of this shop fool you. They have always been honest, fast, and reasonable. There have been plenty of times Where I’ve gone in to ask them about something small, and they have just fixed it and when I asked them how much I owed them they just kind of wave me away and don’t charge me anything. There’s no place else in Austin that I would take my car too, unless there was some sort of specialty repair on a car that they did not work on.
