1 /5 August Grom Jr: Spent almost 3 hrs in the surgical waiting room. From the start, a "security " guard stood there flirting for almost a half hour. Once he left, one of the receptionist did nothing but cough. Not in a mask, not in her hand but out on everything that her spit could touch. The receptionist sitting next to her has done nothing but talk on her cell phone or look up food to eat..... not really what I like at hospital when people are trying to get treatment..... do better

1 /5 Heather Robinson: Today marks the first time Ive ever had anything but praise for CVPH. Disappointed doesnt begin to brush the surface. Upon my arrival to surgical waiting area, the heavier set receptionist, was so rude that it got the attention of others sitting. Not ok. Time is another. The patient and us were instructed that an ambulance would transport him from Alice Hyde at 430 am to arrive at CVPH by 6. Great job to the Ambulance service by the way! That was only thing all day that went as planned. My dad was brought in and told surgery be at 730. Then we were told 830. Then 830 came and went and the Dr let us know they were going to give him antibiotics for hour then needed wait an hour moving procedure to 11. 11 came and went and we werent informed of any changes. They finally took him in about 130 and was told everything went well and he handled it well. We were told in about half hour they would let a family member see him. My brother went in and came back out saying they said give the nurses about half hour to get him moved to short term stay room and we could go see him. Its now 3pm and he has not even been moved into the room yet. Needless to say we are not impressed by the continual fibbing and unorganization of the surgical system in regards to visitor and family. Ive bragged this place up since I was an employee here many years ago and today I saw first hand its chaos and questionable service. Too sad. 9 hrs so far and still waiting to see him after the procedure itself took about 20minutes. My brother went to ask the rude lady and she called them. They blaming it on shift change ( at 130?) but shift change just happened.(3) Not hour and half ago. So now were told when they get a chance they will move him. Now I need to leave to travel in the bad weather back home WITHOUT seeing him after sitting 9 hours. Which I neednt say how much it pisses me off.

1 /5 Natalia: My boyfriend’s been here 5 times in the last month because he had got rhabdo. The treatment for rhabdo is hydration meaning they should have flushed him with Ivs they refused to give him any but that’s not the worst each time he’s had to get blood work and the nurses roll his veins or just miss , he doesn’t have bad veins and been told by the Champlain hhhh that he would actually be a perfect test subject because of how easy it is to take his blood. DONT come here it’s trash.

1 /5 L BroMac: Nurses in the Labor & Delivery were highly unprofessional and violated HIPPA rights multiple times. They also meddled regarding family relationships and caused permanent damage for both families. When we went to administration to report our concerns, they didnt want to get involved. We met with a patient advocate, which at first, we thought would be helpful, but the advocate ended up violating confidentiality also. The nurses and pediatrician in the maternity department also pressured the new mother to go against her wishes and rights to allow a boyfriend to sign official documents despite the new mother informing the pediatrician that the boyfriend was not involved and not on the birth certificate. All of these people formed PERSONAL opinions by making assumptions, without having full information (which they had no right to) and acted upon their opinions by violating their patients rights. We are waiting to see if we will be suing this hospital for violating patients rights. This hospital has no concern for UPHOLDING PATIENTS RIGHTS. THE STAFF DONT THINK THEY NEED TO BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY KNOW BETTER THAN THEIR PATIENTS and exercise their minimal power to a maximum, based on their personal opinions. SHOCKING! The department is made up of a bunch of gossips with nothing better to do than meddle and cause drama in and control their patients lives. They ruined the birth experience for everyone (patients & families). We would rather take a chance on not making it to another hospital than return here (where, based on the other reviews, youll at minimum be worse off than when you entered anyway). Avoid this hopital at all costs! The 1 star is for the 2 WONDERFUL midwives who clearly were from somewhere else. They were highly professional and did their best to bring peace and positivity to the birthing experience despite working among so many unprofessional support staff.

4 /5 Daniel Lachut: Its a hospital, what can really be said about it? staff is generally great, as long as you dont p!ss off the nurses. Theyre very safety conscious. My son was born here and they did a fantastic job on short notice.
