Justin Lawrence This place is terrible. I was a patient here, and being held in this facility did nothing to help my mental health—in fact, it made things worse. When admitted, they made me sign documents without explaining what I was signing, taking advantage of people who are not in the right state of mind. Earlier this month, I hit an extreme low where I no longer saw the point in life. A friend called EMS, and I was brought here. Upon arrival, they took everything from me—my phone, wallet, and clothes—leaving me with nothing but my underwear. The staff was unhelpful and uncommunicative. The nurses never gave straight answers, constantly lying about when the doctor would see me. They would say "five minutes," but the doctor would either take much longer or never show up at all. The facility itself is isolating—there are no clocks or windows, so you have no sense of time, which only worsens your mental state. At one point, I reached a breaking point, and it took nine security guards to restrain me. One particular guard was especially rude and condescending; she should not be allowed to work with patients. To make matters worse, they don’t allow visitors. If your loved ones try to visit, they will be turned away, cutting you off from any outside support. Do not bring your struggling loved ones here. The staff does not care about the mentally ill, and this facility will only worsen their condition.

Nathan Salimeda Dr. Rodriguez SAVED MY LIFE!!! I was diagnosed with strep throat and it had progressed to a point where even my own saliva had become almost impossible to swallow. With his efficient and timely treatment, I received relief within 24 hours and was immediately ready to tackle the world again! I cannot express just how thankful I am for Dr. Rodriguez’s treatment and the professionalism and friendliness of him and his staff! Thank you, Dr. Rodriguez - you truly have saved my life!

Kiara Ramos I recently had my baby 9-24-24 at this hospital. At first I was scared because of all the negative reviews HOWEVER I’m very happy with my decision with the nurses and labor and delivery team. They answered my call button quickly the nurses were very friendly and helpful they made sure that me and my baby boy were taken very good care of. I had my own private room with free T.V. The food was very delicious and had flavor.upon discharge I was given a free diaper bag filled with baby Essentials and postpartum care plus not to mention a free beautifully made fruit basket filled with cakes and fruit. I would most definitely come back here again and I highly recommend the labor and delivery unit . Thank you St.Barnabas for your excellent service !!

Jasenia Flores Ever since Urban left Penninsula Medical Center it’s not the same. Some of the receptionist are rude and although your doctor says you can walk in, they turn you away without you seeing a nurse to determine if you can see someone. I want to go back to Penninsula or Urban on Southern Blvd.

Rita Labuzova I am from Brooklyn and I compared my experience with Presbyterian hospital. Waiting time for my appointment much better. Everyone is trying to help you, because the hospital is huge and it is not easy to find right please, but everyone comes to help. Knowledgeable doctors. I give 5 stars.

Tina Schweid We can not express how wonderful the staff at Calvary Hospital was to our mother/wife during the last 5 weeks. They treated her with care and dignity. They were patient and supportive to my family as well. Floor 5N is staffed with so many amazing nurses and technicians. Thank you Rey, Nadia, Suzette, Mony and all the others ❤️❤️

Lian Valera Incredible rude receptionists. I was shocked how nasty they talk to patients and the lack of professionalism in that office. The blonde lady who stepped in later to help me seeing my distress in my face was very kind and compassionate (I thank her deeply for stepping in). Elie was showed little care for my situation or distress but at least wasn’t blunt out rude. The other dark skin really flat out rude. The third receptionist with long black hark, dark skin was nasty, kept making disparaging comment about me, and other patients and staff members right in front of me. That women should me removed from any medical setting. She will single-handily ruin the reputation of that practice.

Lisa Caines Im currently at this facility seeing Dr Raggio, who I hope will be my families dentist for a long time. Dr Raggio has giving me back my faith in my what a dentist show be like . He treats my family and I as a human beings not as a number, he communicates what hes doing and what needs to be done. He respects his patients and makes you feel comfortable to be at the dentist which we all know is not a place we wanna be, going through the nychhc system you tend to get ignore and get treated as a number. This place was recommended to me by my cousin.we have to travel outside our neighborhood ,but it is worth it.The facility is clean the people are friendly and very very professional.

I recently had the privilege of being cared for by Ashley Lee RN, and I cannot express enough how exceptional her service was. From the moment I arrived, Ashley greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine sense of compassion. Her professionalism and expertise were evident as she guided me through my treatment, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. Ashley took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. Her attention to detail and dedication to her patients truly set her apart. I felt safe and well-cared for under her watchful eye, and her positive attitude made a challenging experience much more manageable. It’s clear that Ashley is not just a skilled nurse but also a wonderful person who genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being. I wholeheartedly give her a 5-star rating and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone in need of medical care. Thank you, Ashley, for your outstanding service and compassion!
