2 /5 Tatiana: I’ve been sitting on whether to post this review because I usually give small businesses a pass. I’m giving it two stars because they were super friendly in person and the collection of jewelry was abundant. However…I am an attorney who has dealt with manufacturing issues for clients in the past, and I feel it’s right to post this one.
I bought a two-toned, gold-plated ring for about $70 on a Saturday in August 2025, and by that following Tuesday, the gold-plating (which I’m guessing now was flash-plated) had worn off a bit. I immediately, on Tuesday, contacted the shop and asked if there was anything that could be done since it had been three days and I had only worn my ring through a hand wash with gentle soap (I took it off to go to sleep, shower, etc.).
On Thursday, I received a message saying that the ring I purchased was a “fan-favorite” and they had never experienced any prior issues with its finish. The email went on to say that they were unable to replace items that have faded from general wear and offered 10% off a purchase off of a future item (note: you can sign up for email and text via the website and receive 10% off).
After kindly insisting that three days is not “normal wear-and-tear” and asking for more help (a return, an exchange, etc.), I received a message telling me that I was welcome to send the ring back to have it professionally re-plated……but that I would be responsible for the cost of both shipping and re-plated (more than the price of the original ring). For my troubles, she offered 10% off the cost of plating.
Consumers in 2025 are disturbed by business practices like this, even (and sometimes especially) from small businesses. I won’t be paying for any shipping/re-plating, and I also will not be recommending this store to anyone. There are a plethora of local and online jewelry retailers who I know would do better. I hope the brand grows to include better business practices for its customers. This was disappointing.
