tim shantler Ive been to many barbers over the years, but none have been as helpful—let alone as excited—as Sam and Kelsey at Mane Haus. They are both incredible artists who truly care about their customers, taking the time to understand not just what you want, but what will actually work best for you. Their passion and expertise make all the difference. If youre looking for a salon that goes beyond just a haircut and actually helps you get a handle on your hair, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Nikki Coggins Kelsey is amazing!! She’s very knowledgeable and very creative. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I never had a hair dresser take the time and really figure out what my hair needs are. I’ll definitely found my forever hair dresser!

Luna I booked an appointment months in advance, but my experience left me deeply frustrated. When I was making my way to the salon, Kelsey abruptly canceled my appointment, blaming the situation on another client. She claimed this other client had said I was "from out of town," which made no sense. Im not and also why would that even be a problem? The explanation felt inconsistent and more like an excuse to justify poor planning; even though they have a system already. Adding insult to injury, I had called off work in advance to attend this appointment. I wasn’t about to receive nothing in return for my time and effort.
When I asked if everything was okay and why the sudden disinterest, they gave me excuses that somehow shifted the blame to me. They claimed it would take more than 3 hours—even though I had already accounted for that time based on their own Google scheduling system. Then, they said they’d need to bleach my hair twice, despite the fact that I had already completed this step beforehand; they didnt by the way. These responses felt like deflections instead of a genuine attempt to address the situation professionally.
Despite the disrespect, I told Kelsey I would still like to get my hair done when she asked me if I wanted to continue after her long speech. This was when she turned a "new leaf". She started telling me things like, "I have the same hair as you," in what was clearly an attempt to gain my trust and secure a bigger tip. This was particularly unsettling because it was obvious the statement wasn’t true (lol). It made me wonder how often she used these tactics on clients. Get your money, but wow thats cold.
As if that weren’t enough, Kelsey tried to justify Yeti’s hostility by saying, "Yeti is just being a man baby." Not only was this disrespectful to a coworker; and husband, but it also reflected an alarming lack of professionalism. Why should clients have to endure not only disrespect but also personal drama? It made the experience even more uncomfortable.
The atmosphere overall was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The lack of respect, manipulative behavior, and excuses left me feeling frustrated. Salons should at least provide trust and respect. I hope this feedback encourages them to reevaluate how they treat their clients because this experience was far from acceptable. I guess I have a funny story to tell my friends now.
