Rose Patricia (Fun and learning for kids) Sonya Dean saved me. I took my 12-year-old grandson to Utica mall on a Saturday. When we got home, and his hair dried, he was mortified. He said, grandma, I look like an old lady. They were supposed to put a few highlights in his black hair. They put in so many highlights that his hair almost looked gray. And his hair was supposed to be layered, once it dried we also realized his layers were, for a lack of a better word, weird. According to Sonya, it was because the layers they were supposed to leave long, in the back, they cut short, the ones they were supposed to cut short, the front, they left long. It didnt look good. It broke my heart. We had a picture of what he was looking for, but the hairstylist at the mall barely looked at it. So, Sunday, I was in a panic. He couldnt go to school on Monday looking like that. We took him to Walmart, but they were all booked for the day. I frantically looked online and found Sonya. Not only did she work us in, but with in minutes, she had his hair looking the way he wanted it. She was kind enough to take the picture, and compared it to his hair as she cut. She also said she did the highlights, for less than what we paid. I was put to ease as soon as we walked into her shop because my sister-in-law was in there getting her hair permed. Sonya was a true lifesaver. I left her a nice tip, and she above and beyond deserved it. I would highly recommend her!

Justin Mastrangelo Whats left of my eyebrows are butchered, but my haircut is good. Today, Carissa cut my hair and towards the end asked if I wanted to trim my eyebrows because they were really long. Im a guy, so what do I really care if theyre long. I reluctantly said sure placing trust in a person I saw as a professional. After taking to my sister, I realized just how strange it was that she used the buzz clippers on my eye brows. Needless to say, ten seconds after one of the worst decisions of my life, my eyebrows were massacred. A split second after that she blasts me in the face with the hair dryer on high. Her reaction seems to have been a realization of seeing what an awful job she did. She touches up a couple spots on my haircut and says nothing to me about my eye brows, doesnt show me them or my hair in a mirror, and doesnt look at me for the rest of the haircut, when I pay, or as I say thank you. I go to my car to inspect the work she did. Realizing how absurd my eyebrows look, or the lack of them rather, I went back in to show her and to see what, if anything she would or could do. She acted like nothing had happened, and repeated that she took them in because they were long. All she would do is offer me my money back if I wasnt happy with it. I declined because I was paying for a haircut. Honestly, Im not really sure what to do at this point. With upcoming job interviews, and in general, just wanting to feel like a normal person in public. Ive gone to Teasers for the past year since moving to the area. Up until now, Ive relied on them for a good haircut. Never again.

Jenna Swayze Very rude stylist cant believe how anyone with such a mean heart could sleep at night peacefully. How that girl was rudely pointed out and scowled in front of a waiting area of customers and chairs filled with customers. All over literally a toilet seat LID and then to tell a paying family member of hers is told the seat needs to be paid for. I will never step another foot into this unprofessional establishment with its disrespectful, cold hearted employees. With that said Mr Anthonys here I come for my fall color & cut. :D

Willowbean I have been going to Shear Dimensions for years. I have had every color of the rainbow colored hair to every length possible in between. Every time my hair was done perfect. My husband and daughter have also gone for years with no problems. They accommodate last minute time changes and give you the style you ask for. I love this salon and its employees!

Cassandra Pfoh I relocated to Norwich, NY after going to the same hair stylist for my entire life and for almost 5 years I waited for trips back to see family to have anything done to my hair for fear of trying someone new in a place I did not know. I was referred to her for my wedding as it was taking place up here and she did a stellar job...and I have been going only to Carin up here ever since! Not only did she make me feel comfortable and at home, but she made myself and 6 bridesmaids all look amazing on a very tight schedule. She can do it all and I have since gone to her for fun changes in color and cut. She can make a picture become reality but will also let you know how it can be adapted to better suit your needs. She is also excellent with children...my 6 year old niece always proudly shows off her hair after a visit and smiles at the mention of Carins name. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional but comfortable and friendly experience.

Whitney Buckley I had a bad experience at another salon and my hair was a disaster. The layers were all wrong and one side was much much longer than the other. I went to First Impressions and Carin went in and fixed my hair up to a lovely angled bob. I am so thankful that Carin was recommended to me. She fixed my hair disaster and will be doing my hair for my wedding!! She is so knowledgeable about hair and she can offer suggestions that are awesome but that you would never think of yourself. Carin is the best at what she does and is classy and friendly. One of the best in the area!!!!
