Taz Pannell I was beyond impressed with the quality of service I received at my appointment. Tanica is definitely set apart from other braiders and hairstylist. Just to start, she broke down the mechanics of scalp hygiene by showing my my follicles and scalp before applying a treatment that would unclog any built up product I had. She is a quick worker too and though a little late, my locs havent looked this good in MONTHS. I also have lots of pets and she got a lot of their hair out of my locs. I am very grateful to have stumbled upon Tanica while I was in town visiting family and I will most definitely be coming back. I already have another appointment booked and I highly recommend everyone get theirs in advance before she is too busy!

Vanessa She is very knowledgeable in her craft and walk you through the steps on how to take care of your hair. She is not just a hair stylist but a specialist and a Nutritionist. Her products are natural and she is very understanding and respectful.

Dianna Bennett Courtney at The Speakeasy has been working with my hair this last year after a horrible dye job left my hair damaged, uneven, and clown orange. Every time Im in her chair she is happy to make sure I get the results I want. My hair has always left even, pretty, and well blended. I love her highlight technique- its gorgeous. Courtney takes into consideration all the unique properties of my hair that may affect how it accepts dye, such as postpartum hair. Courtney works with my hair to make sure I maximize health/shine throughout the coloring process but also still acheives a dimensional, gorgeous color. Shes talented with toners and glosses. Hoodie Foodie Nice experience here. They were able to accommodate my schedule on short notice. The salon has many experienced stylists. I visited on a Saturday and I would guess most of the patrons were regulars based on their familiarity with each other. I had a great haircut with Dee. She is personable and professional. I asked for something easy to maintain, and that is exactly what she gave me. My coworker had a different stylist and she was also very happy with her hair. She received many compliments. Our hair types are very different, from thin and fine to crazy curly, they were able to do both. Prices seem reasonable for the area.

Ashley Burt The girl who welcomed me upon arrival while she was doing hair seemed very nice. Olivia is a great artist in her trade. She takes pride in her work and knows her hair stuff, the salon is very cute and kept nice. She offers snacks and water while I was getting my hair dyed as you wait for it to process. 10/10 recommend if you are looking to feel like a new person when you leave.

Ellie Childress Brandy has done a great job with my hair both times I’ve been to see her! I came in with a need for a balayage but I had previously box dyed my hair so there was a lot of damage and artificial color to work with. In two sessions Brandy was able to get my hair back to what it was before! So so grateful. She was very communicative about the process and she made sure to manage my expectations correctly with each session. She is very pleasant to work with. I would recommend her to anybody! Kendra C Jena is a phenomenal stylist. I go to her for curly hair cuts and color. She assesses your hair, talks to you about what you want, and delivers a beautiful outcome. She also does a great job styling my curls before I leave. Shes always really kind and lovely to talk to.

Cadie Hockenbary These ladies are absolutely amazing! They can do anything you need. You can tell they love what they do and they want to help you look and feel your best. They offer a variety of services! Always nice to see smiling faces when you walk through the door. They treat you like family. Our family stylist is Kayla Sawyer. She has helped each of my kids be true to themselves with fun and quirky hair color/styling. When I took my daughter out to a special event, Kayla styled my hair exactly how I wanted it. Storm Ridruguez made me feel amazing with gorgeous make up! They offer so many different styling products and are happy to order a product if they dont have it. Go in! I promise you wont regret it!

Mary McKeand I’ve been all over the country and this is hands down the best salon I’ve ever been to. This is a drama free, toxic free environment that’s full of kind and loving people that will treat you like they’ve known you for years. Always tons of laughs when I visit. All of the stylists are professionals that maintain proficient and steady work for women, men, and kids. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend discussing services with Melissa. She is great and does not disappoint!!!

JS W Sandra is a life saver! I had a terribly short and uneven haircut from a different salon, supercuts. When I called her about hair extensions in tears she stayed late after hours to have a consultation with me to see what could be done to fix my hair. She got me in the next day and gave me hair extensions. They are beautiful. You cant even tell. They blend in with my real hair. I can put my hair in a ponytail and behind my ears and you cant see where any of the extensions are attached. I walked in with sad tears and left with happy tears. Sandra is a true artist that is very kind and compassionate. I cant thank you enough Sandra.

Anna Barnett Sarah Finn is the best! I haven’t found a more consistent and amazing hairdresser in my life. Let’s just say she is so amazing, genuine and my favorite hairdresser ever that I am traveling 8 hours to continue to be a client. I’ve been with Sarah now almost 4 years and I don’t want to ever try to find someone again… no one compares. I can show her a photo and always get what I asked her to try to do. I have never left her shop not utterly in love with my hair. From hair extensios, to color, to just a regular cut she’s your best option at this shop!

Dayna Webb Sassy’s is a great place! Carrie has been doing my hair for over 16 years and she’s the best. My kids absolutely love her too! I tend to schedule last minute and she always gets me in. We are always happy with our cuts, colors, and styling!

Sarah Parker I have been going here for years and I absolutely love it. Carrie has been doing my hair for the past 7 years and I refuse to go to anyone else. She is very kind and listens to what hair you want. She always gets the color I want on point, and the styling is amazing. I cant ever make up my mind so she always curls it and it looks amazing everything. I even have some friends that get their hair done by her as well. Carrie is the best. Nena My son got THE best haircut since we arrive in 2009 and her prices are very fair. She is quiet and clean and took her time with each of her clients. Love her!

Bbenw I asked for a low fade and provided a picture. I didn’t think I should have to specify any other instructions since it’s a simple haircut. A low fade should end around the temple or right above the eyebrows and they gave me a high fade. I expressed my displeasure when I realized she was doing the fade way higher than I asked for so she lined me up and finished the haircut. I also didn’t appreciate the audacity to charge me full price after jacking up a simple haircut. I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anybody.

Tasneem Md Called to make an appointment but was told its walk ins so come any time they are open (which is great). Staff is friendly and courteous. Shop is clean with plenty of plants and seating, with a big tv on the wall. Staff sweeps the floor and wipes down the seat after each customer. There was another person before us but we did not wait long. Showed them a picture of the haircut we want and some description on certain specific requests, and they delivered! Staff was respectful and kind to my child, which we really appreciate. Service was great, quick, and wasnt too pricey ($12 for a kids haircut). FYI this is a cash only establishment, but there is an ATM inside if you need cash.

T C This business is the best in town. Hairstylist takes her time making sure your hair is groomed the way you want it. Most of the other shops youre in and out of the chair in 10 minutes. With a scrappy cut.

Sarah Jaynne I booked my first appointment back in July 2023 with Jade at Mint Julep and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else! Jade is an absolute angel! I look forward to every single appointment with her. She is such a sweet person and knows how to do her job well. She always ensures you’re comfortable and okay throughout the process, plus her conversations make every appointment so much better. Her room is calming, inviting, and always clean. Tailynn Biccum ONE OF A KIND WAX EXPERIENCE!!! In the last 6-8 months I have had the pleasure of getting regular Brazilian waxes from Jade, and I can confidently say that she has completely transformed my waxing experience. Before finding her, I was seeing a waxer an hour away who did such a poor job that it honestly made me reconsider waxing altogether. However, from the moment I stepped into Jades room, I felt a sense of relief. She is not only incredibly skilled/knowledgeable but also has a warm and welcoming demeanor that instantly put me at ease. Lucy Hiotis This was my second time going to Hilary for a facial. Both times, the experience was absolutely amazing! First off, Hilary is sweet, welcoming and accommodating. Her room is cozy, clean and soooo comfortable! Her hands are magical! And she caters to any problem areas. It seems as though “facial” doesn’t cover all that she does. I cannot recommend Mint Julep and Hilary enough! If you want to treat yourself and honor some self care, this is definitely the place to go! Thank you Hilary! You’re the bomb!

Alexis Alfano Jade is amazing! She was very thorough, great with explaining everything she was doing, professional, and easy to talk to/ask questions. She insured that I was comfortable during the wax. She gave great information and exfoliating gloves for after care as well! It was a great first time experience. I will continue to go to her! Jennifer Ann This is going to be long, but necessary. I have been searching high and low for a stylist who could work with my daughters 4c curls. Everyone in the area claimed to have experience with curls but sadly, they damaged my daughters hair. They also required me to straighten my daughters hair BEFORE even going to the salon, robbing her of the salon experience. From the moment we walked into Yolandas salon, she made us feel like we were at her home, drinking coffee with a friend. She and her assistant were so inviting and the conversation was if we had known each other for years. Yolanda shared each step of the process and great tips on maintaining the style for my teen daughter. She also gave her some great advice that that only another adult could give a teen. Yolanda is genuine, honest, talented, and warm, and went out of her way to make my daughter feel special and have an experience she has NEVER had in a salon before. My daughter was literally in tears of joy when she saw the end product. No reason to search elsewhere or travel. Dye me crazy is where its at!!

D. Maria German-Marino I scheduled an appt online & it was confirmed by the owner. The day of appt, I arrived at the shop 10 minutes prior and no one was there. I figured they would arrive shortly but instead I got a text message at my appt time stating she was not around due to an appointment of her own. I really needed a haircut and wanted to go to someone of my ethnicity who could understand my hair type. So I rescheduled even with the major inconvenience. The day comes for my rescheduled appt and arrive there. I was asked to sit down and wait for a moment, no big deal. I was scheduled for a haircut, and a deep scalp wash. She washed my hair for less than 2 minutes with products and moved me to another chair. She began cutting my hair and explained she was only going to trim certain areas due to the growth and curl pattern. Trusting her expertise, I agreed. She then added product and said that was it. So I looked at it, all appeared well (if you have curly hair, issues may not be apparent with wet hair w product in it). I paid, left, and went about my errands. I got to a place I could look at my hair again once it was dried and it was very apparent how bad it was. Not only was my hair extremely uneven, but product was applied so uneven. There were extremely hard clumps of my hair with a lot of product and frizzy areas where there was no product at all. I immediately reached out and was told she would not offer a refund even though she admitted to not being in the right head space to do hair that day. Due to this being the second incident, I told her I would not be scheduling the complimentary appt with her as my hair was messed up. I would have accepted rescheduling the appointment prior to sitting in the chair because everyone has bad days. This was when she was located on Mill St.

Alyssa palacios Honestly the best hair stylist I have been to. I got highlights done, she is very careful when explaining what she’s doing and also gave me tips on how to manage my hair better. I will definitely be coming back and recommending her to anyone!

Hannah Ashley did amazing with my lash lift and tint. She was beyond friendly and explained everything step by step! Cant recommend her enough.

Todd Travis My wife’s hair was ruined at this salon. Dana the girl who ruined it was so unprofessional. My wife requested her money back because of the way Dana ruined it. Dana said her sister owned the salon and my wife wouldn’t be getting her money back. We had to request the 50$ tip back. Dana’s reply was your 50$ too is at the front desk don’t contact me again. Great service. I guess Dana is lucky to have family hire her. We will be happy to let everyone know this place is a terrible hair salon as well as a family owned place where the owner won’t even call clients to talk with them personally. Stay away from here they are worried about 200$ more than satisfaction. Typical family owed business with no customer service.

Witch in the North I paid $120 for a patchy dye job for my daughters prom. We were super upset she cried bc it looked horrible. I gave the stylist 3 stars bc she is super nice. But Im beating myself up for not mentioning this and asking for a refund.

Ritz-LaRue William (Billy) Accommodating to ones schedule. Owner (Sue) is very knowledgeable and friendly. Salon is alway what glove test ready as it’s very clean, not to mention comfortable. Prices very reasonable. Sue listens to what you want and if she has a suggestion she tell you, but she always give you what you want. After going to a few other places around town and finally returning back to this hair salon after a few years I see why it’s was smart to return. A stylist before had kept messing up and when I would say I wanted it a certain way it never seemed to change or it was some reason it wouldn’t look how it should..... Sue actually listens and I leave everytime with what I wanted. Nice to finally be back and know I’m getting what I’m paying for. -Walk in’s (appointments are better) -Cash or check (no debt or credit cards) -Always clean and inviting -Owner is sweet, amazing and personable like you have known each other for years after only 5 minutes in her chair. -what are you waiting for call and ask for sue you won’t be disappointed!
