FLEXcity Fitness

Susan Dooley Popped in while visiting Lansing. This gym is FANTASTIC! I was sent a text to confirm my first visit; given a tour when I arrived, and made to feel welcome. Morgan is a OUTSTANDING instructor who kept the energy high and cues on point. Great music, great workout. Overall - I rate this a 10/10 experience. I will be back!

M43 Fitness

Courtney Rousseau I was driving through the Lansing area and came across this place. I was blown away at how accommodating they were with the drop in process! The facility was beautiful, clean, & well organized. Nice rigs, a variety of weights and odd objects, good cardio machines and even an assault runner if you hate a cold outdoor winter run! Nice rogue bars for Olympic lifting, power lifting, or CrossFit. I would highly recommend giving this place a try

Planet Fitness

T. Young PhD., RRT Terrific gym!! Much larger than other PF locations. Rarely do I wait for a bench or machine. Always clean and well-lit. This location is closer to my workplace than another location, so come here after work to save drive-time and go to another location on weekends. My only suggestion is if there could be mirrors in the warm-up area.

Chelsie DeLong I went to a tournament today at court one and the tournament organizer were cool, calm and collected. Everything felt really well organized from ball storage, court assignments and communication. I’m impressed!

Crunch Fitness - East Lansing

julian miller I’ve been going to crunch since opening day, and don’t plan on going elsewhere. It’s the gym I recommend to anyone who’s working out at a PF, or looking for more variety in their training. I’ve always liked that they not only have all the free weights, and machines you need, but they also places for cardio, HIIT and stretching. My biggest complaint is machine maintenance, and crowding (which I believe will be resolved with their new expansion). Although most of the machines work consistently, there are always a couple broken cables. I do blame the users rather than the gym, but with cables being the most versatile equipment in the gym, it’s annoying when I have to check if the open cable is actually working; stuck in place, stuck at a weight or doesn’t move smoothly. I understand maintaining equipment with as many members as they have is difficult, but it would be nice to have things fixed in a timely manner. And to touch on crowding: I’m someone who wants to do my workout and leave. I have found if you go during the day, or in the evening you can just about count on having to wait for the machine, bench, squat rack, weight, or space to workout. Because of this I go either early in the morning or late at night. As I had said previously, I do believe that their expansion will help a lot with the crowding and I look forward to its opening. Lastly the staff: In my time there I have seen many employees and trainers come and go. I have never had any issues with their staffing and I believe they all do a great job. P.s. shout out to the good lighting and the gym buddies I’ve made there!

M43 Fitness

Ele Muhammad Wow! First day here and I’m 100% impressed. This gym is clean, staff is friendly and professional, and the equipment is top notch. Perfect place for experienced powerlifters or athletes with mainly free weights and athletic performance equipment (vs machines.) If you’re a gym beginner I highly recommend working with a trainer here because they are knowledgeable and everyone is super welcoming but you may want some guidance for how to get a safe and effective lift (not many machines etc..) 5 stars, definitely a gem if you’re looking to train

Parkwood YMCA

CC The preschool here is amazing. It is run like a school, not a daycare. The teachers are great and care a lot about the kids. They focus on getting the kids outside as much as the weather allows them to. My child has grown so much at the preschool and also at swimming lessons. The prices are also very affordable for both preschool and swimming lessons. I highly recommend the programs here!

The Training Factory

Joshua Holder The Training Factory is an excellent gym that covers all-around training needs. Having trained at many powerlifting gyms with high-level equipment such as Texas Power Bars, Rogue, and Eleiko, I can confidently say the Training Factory provides access to all of these top-tier names. The environment is welcoming allowing members to train however they prefer without judgment. The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and organized, which makes every session more enjoyable. Management is also attentive and dependable, ensuring the gym runs smoothly.

Westside Community YMCA

Jen Willett Love their homeschool swim and gym program. My son took it for several years. He faced his fears, learned to swim and climb the rock wall. Instructors were awesome with the kids and kept them busy for 2 hours! Great exercise and parents could talk to each other or read while they waited. I got to know several homeschool moms that I didn’t already know or was able to get work done.
