Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana - Gary (IN)

4 /5 Jeff Grindler: Stopped off today to check out The Hard Rock Casino. Very nicely decorated and appointed with various guitars, costumes and other memorabilia from the musical world. There is a noodle bar, steak house, a Hard Rock Cafe and another shop for donuts/drinks etc. Plenty of slots from the old to the new and nicely placed table games. You can register for the club card for the casino and if you provide your email or phone # you are awarded casino credit immediately. The amount today was $25 which is pretty generous. The only thing that you need to be aware of is that this particular casino allows for smoking on the casino floor. There is a small section of non-smoking gaming in an area in the back of the casino which is good for those who do not smoke. Thats the only complaint that I have about The Hard Rock Casino- the smoking...and the reason for my score of 4 rather than 5. My lunch at the noodle bar was very tasty and enjoyable. I will return when i am passing through the area coming back from Michigan.

2 /5 PVI: This place was scary. It smells like an ashtray and looks like something out of the Wild West. I could only stay long enough to see the Gary FD paramedic pull up and a security guard rush in. My wife stayed while I waited in my car. I saw a drug deal going down out of the back of the car parked in front of me. I know some people enjoy this sort of thing but it just draws more crime to the area.

5 /5 Jayden Miller: I came here for my birthday! The buffet is open only on weekends. I really enjoyed it . The buffet staff are amazing! The lady hostesses and seating staff at the Hard Rock Cafe, however, are rude and uncaring. All in all, its a nice place for entertainment! The slots could be looser! RECOMMENDED.

2 /5 Debbie Thompson: First time there from Ohio. Concert venue and staff were awesome. The casino itself was horrible. Its hard to comprehend that there are still places that indoor smoking is permitted. It was almost unbearable. My throat eyes and nose burnt for days after being there. While waiting for our concert to start there were advertisements for upcoming concerts and events. I did see future things that I would like to attend but there is no way I plan to ever return to that casino again. At least in Ohio we have designated smoking rooms that are shut off from the rest of the casino by two sets of doors. That way at least everyone can enjoy their casino experience.
