3 /5 yuli Ocasio: Update: While I’m still thankful that my car was towed so promptly. After having my mechanic take a look at my car because my gas gauge was damaged and would no longer move from full after the repair and the gas smell was still strong in the car even though there was no leak. My mechanic sent me pictures of a part that was left unplugged which caused the gas smell in the car. Smell gone within hours after my mechanic plugged it. My seat screws where stripped, The gas gauge connectors had cracks and a red part the was broken off. My fuel pump cost $744, online prices are all over the place but my mechanic said at most $300-400 but being an emergency and needing the part next day I won’t even fight that price too much just the other things done wrong. Original review Towed my car within the hour and fixed it (fuel pump replacement) within 2 days while my car broke down during a trip. I have an Audi and he had to wait on parts otherwise would have probably been even faster. Very reasonable prices. Thank you so much!!!

1 /5 Lifes Too Escort: My experience with McKee is nothing short of a nightmare I just wanted to wake up from. I was traveling to Florida and broke down 3 miles from the place in Tifton GA. 2007 Toyota sienna just in case you have the same issue by chance. Just felt like the fuel pump stopped working. I had called a few other places but this one had a tow truck. I spoke with Shane the lady that sits at the desk. She said “it’s 85 dollars for the tow and 60 dollars for to diagnose it. I asked if the 60 comes off the work they do and she said no. It didn’t seem normal to me and was the first red flag but because she said that they would look at it that day I agreed. Also I indicated to the tow truck driver it felt like the fuel pump stopped working. When pulling into the place with the tow truck guy my heart sank. There’s so many cars on the lot. That’s a second red flag and indicates to me that something isn’t right. After meeting everyone and they seemed nice I was able to calm down. They couldn’t diagnose it the first day so I ended up sleeping in the van. The second day the mechanic never showed up but I was assured things will be fine because the tow truck driver Darrell was there and could look at it. At the end of that day there was still no diagnosis or any answers. Only thing they asked was if it was the original motor. On day 3 of being there with no public restrooms and had my grandson’s birthday Saturday Shane told me I should get a bus home that they didn’t work weekends. Not even a possibility as I was traveling with my dog. I went to full panic mode. The stress and depression was real. Was able to hitch a ride but forgot my pistol in the van. Monday I had called to let them know. Shane said she would secure it however it would not be the first time she lies to me. After no update I called that Wednesday to get an update on the van. She said “they’re working on it” I had never signed a work order or anything giving them permission to do work to my vehicle. I asked about the weapon and she had forgotten all about it. It’s a wild emotional experience because someone could break into that van take that and wipe out someone’s family and I’m to blame because she didn’t want to care about anything customer based. I told her I need her to secure that and she said she would. I called back the next day to get an update and she said they would call when they figure out what was wrong with it. No call for a week so the third week they had it I called and talked to Darrell since he seemed to be the only one working on it. He said he got it going. I asked how much the bill was and he sent me to Shane. There’s a lot of posts here that say words like evil and very expensive. 941.42 was the total cost. Not really because I can’t afford that so I put on a card and that’s an extra 3.5%. I go down the following week to pick up the van. Not sure if they were trying to steal it but one of my hubcaps was missing. After they had it a month you would think done meant it was done. I popped the hood immediately seen a vacuum line was gone. Not sure if it was the owner or what but he doesn’t know anything about my van or what is going on in the shop and didn’t know anything about mechanics because he said it’s supposed to be like that. I argued because I’m no longer happy. I gave no permission to do work and I noticed how I was lied to. It was 314.00 to diagnose and that’s a lot more then the quoted 60 dollars. There was charges for sensors and gaskets that probably didn’t get put on my van. They were not the issue. In fact they never fixed the issue at all. They found my hub cap and they found my vacuum hose. However there is still a broken vacuum line connector and missing hose. The problem was the fuel pump resistor. Right on the firewall. This is how they “fixed it” in the picture below. They put a fuse in it. A 5 cent fuse that cause my fuel pump to run constantly and burn up leaving me stranded and back at square one. Oh the pistol was still in my van that was sitting on their lot the whole time.

5 /5 Anna: Great experience, receptionist was polite and understanding of my situation. Got my vehicle in as soon as they could and returned it next day. No issues thus far. Very appreciative considering the time window I had to have it back in was very small. I recommend this business and will be returning if I need any other work done.

5 /5 Roger Holloway: My wife was visiting Tifton for a few days when her car started having an issue. Being away from our usual mechanics is always stressful, but McKees Auto Center was a lifesaver! From the moment she contacted them, Vaughn was incredibly kind, got her car in quickly and were very thorough in diagnosing the problem. He explained everything clearly, didnt try to oversell any unnecessary repairs, and made sure she understood the issue and the solution. We are so grateful for their honesty, expertise, and exceptional customer service. If we ever need auto repair in the Tifton area again, well definitely be going back to McKees!

5 /5 John Lewis: Ive been putting off some much needed maintenance for my truck. I finally decided to get it done and took it to Mckees. They done an outstanding job getting my truck back running like new and Shane stayed in contact with me to let me know what was going on. The customer service was great. I highly recommend them and will be going back if I need any future maintenence done to my vehicles.
