5 /5 Marc Ginsburg: My family and I were on a road trip down to Florida and stopped at Amicalola Falls on the way. When we got to the top of the mountain, I smelled burning rubber. I popped the hood and it was stronger. I got nervous because we still had a long drive and were out-of-towners in a place with not a lot of automotive care options. We were sent to Kars and I couldnt be happier. Nick was incredibly helpful and thorough. They took a look at the car and saw nothing wrong. So he ordered a complete inspection done. Again, nothing came back (brakes, hoses, etc. looked normal). He said the car looks great and, since Id had an oil change (and other basic things) not long ago, the assumption was that some oil or fluid got on something, the car heated up more than usual climbing up the mountain, and heated the material, causing the smell. He assured me that there was nothing to worry about. And, as a bonus, he was kind enough not to charge me for ANY of the work/tests done. Weve driven about 600 miles since the visit and all has been well. Thanks so much for your help and honesty!
