Miss D Oh my goodness! We are fresh from Houston, TX and I was so nervous to find someone to do my sons locs. He is 8 and has been locd for about 6 years. He loves his hair and its very thick and he has a lot of hair! Micey was suggested to us and the experience was nothing short of amazing!!! She responded quickly, answered my questions and was very pleasant. We got there a couple minutes early and she was ready for us already! No wait! She was nice to my sleepy baby. I didnt know what to expect so I washed my son hair the day before but the joke was on me she washed his hair too. I was like "oh we coming back" in my mind. We got there around 2pm and left 3:14pm. She started his retwist and my tender headed soon chilled and played his game the whole time. I didnt hear an ouch or oww. Her and another stylist double teamed his retwist and style. It looks soooo adorable and nice!!! Im super grateful! My son gets shy when he really likes something and as soon as she said he was done he walked out quick as heck! By the time I caught up with him, he had a HUGE smile on his face! My baby is happy! Oh, I forgot to mention the ambiance. It is really nice inside. They played R&B music so I was singing allll the songs. The decor was demure and mindful. Plenty parking. Easy to locate. You cant miss it! And if you cant tell yet, I would absolutely suggest Micey and this salon. We will be back!

Rhonda Zorman This place is a TEN! I have gone to multiple salons all over South Florida, but have settled on Over the Edge for the past couple years. I started with Camille doing my nails, then added her facials. She is personable and does a beautiful job on both. I’ve used all the nail girls, they are all great. I feel confident they are not cutting corners and use good sterile technique. I have also started having my hair done. For years I have been unhappy with my hair, then found Linda. She actually listened to me and my hair is exactly what I wanted. My hair is foiled. She is very methodical in her technique, which I love. So many hair dressers have rush through doing my hair so I ended up with big blobs of weird shades of blonde, and rarely would do a true full highlight. Not Linda! With her you get a true full highlight. She also did even, fine strands of blonde that I have searched and searched to find. Plus she corrected my other that was not highlighted. All for a great price. All staff is friendly and warm, and you can tell they have all worked together for years. Very little staff turn over that says a lot about the place. Also very professional and knowledgeable about the latest trends and products, but never get the hard sell. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Kristin Cromwell Valerie saved the day! After another stylist butchered my hair, she fit me in on a Saturday afternoon right before my vacation and completely redid my haircut. It turned out to be the best Ive ever had. Everyone loved it! Valerie was understanding and incredibly creative. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Sofia Alonso i went in for a wash and blow dry and she said 85 and i was like okay sound like they do really good…no my hair wasn’t even straight the roots were still curly and i spent 85 never going back!!!

Yolo SoHaveFun Horrible experience. Winnie does not know how to color despite having a license. They have favoritism to their clients that come all the time. She puts you under the dryer and walks away to talk, laugh and eat. She leaves color in your hair too long and as a result, my hair FELL OUT! Wanted blonde hair but left out of that horrible salon with white tips and blonde roots. It went from purple to pink to finally white. Ana took no responsibility for her stylist negligence of what happened to my hair. She will just brag about going to NY to spend her clients hard earned money on bags and shoes. Dont waste money! You have been warned!

Enasha Anglade Id like to share my experience and results of my visit at Fusion salon. So I was recommended by a good friend to try this new Dominican spot to get my hair done for my baby shower. I dont like straightening my hair as I am 4c(?) Natural and Florida weather is so humid. This weekend in particular I wasnt even going to go because it had been raining all day and has been raining since (got my hair done September 22nd. Today is the 29th). So needless to say, natural hair getting straightened in rainy weather is no good. But I wanted to look nice for my baby shower even if it was going to be for one day. I asked the lady (Winnie) if there was any treatment I could do to make my hair last just a bit longer than usual. My hair was in horrible condition as u will see in the pictures. Super dry. Hadnt had a trim in over a year. Just left conditioner in it and would slick it back with gel and thats it. Pregnancy didnt help my hair (Im 8.5 months). It made it worse. So when she suggested the hair Botox I figured why not. It has been a while since I gave myself and my hair love so I decided to spend the extra money since I had done a bit of research on hair Botox anyway and wanted to try it out eventually. Winnie talked me through the whole process, educating me on the benefits and what it would do to my hair and how this was a better option compared to keratin (which I had tried in the past) since I am pregnant and it is chemical free. I was sold when she told me I wouldnt lose my natural hair texture. It would just have less of the dry frizz because my cuticles would be nourished and it would be locked in and sealed. I am so happy I decided on going with her suggestion. She had to reassure me a few times that the end result would be worth the questionable in-between I saw in the mirror. But, a week later and my hair is as silky and straight as it was when I left the salon. Humidity and rain and all. Obviously I am not wetting my hair. I put a bonnet cap on at night. I havent even wrapped it once. Not even the night of though she suggested I did. I cant stop touching my hair. Just like Winnie said would happen. I play with my hair all the time. I feel like a white girl fresh from the salon. No offense. But for a black girl to feel that way when just last week her pregnancy mane was a dry and tangled mess amidst rainy and humid Florida weather means a BUNCH. IDK how my hair would have faired with a regular blowout but I know this hair Botox is the truth. I am a bit eager to see if my hair really will go back to my regular natural hair when I finally wet it (just healthier of course) so thatll be the tell tale sign that this hair Botox is legit. But at this point what Winnie has told me has held true so I have faith that this isnt a relaxer in disguise. If youre looking for a good Dominican spot to get ur hair done in the area, give this place a try. Especially if you want to try the hair Botox thats been gaining popularity. You wont be disappointed. Mind you, I have NEVER written a review before and I had to let some time go by to make sure this was worth the time. And it is. I approve. And I will be back for my protein treatment. Suggested by Winnie. And I knew I needed one. Thats how I know shes not lying to me just to get more money in her pocket. She knows her hair. Fyi the last three pictures are of my hair today. I showed my car window to prove its been raining and how fabulous my hair still looks. Oh also, I havent put a flat iron to my hair once since last week. Not even for a touch up. I just take my black bonnet cap off, flip my hair to the side, maybe, then walk out the door. Edit: pictures uploaded funny but the pics of me in the car in the pink are the ones of my hair today.

Toni M. Yovanna works magic! I’m beyond happy with the cut and dye I received a few weeks ago. I’ve never dyed my hair outside of the brown honey-brown and blonde tones, so I was a little uncertain coming into things. Yovanna helped me decide on what two shades of red might suit me and while I originally asked for a certain dye style, she suggested another (due to the kind of cut I wanted, showed me pictures, and voilà!). And while the color has faded slightly, I’m still pretty happy with what it’s turned into! As for the cut, just spectacular. I handed her a reference photo and she was able to replicate it with a few tiny adjustments to better accommodate my face shape and curl pattern and here we are! Pricing was fair and the salon itself was in great shape. The staff are all so friendly and really made me feel welcomed and as beautiful as can be walking out of there! Definitely would return. Update: Went back for a more vibrant color and of course Yovanna did a great job once again!

Christina Hampton Its really sad. Miguel overprocessed my hair. I was there and he disappeared. I frantically started looking for him passed the time he told me. It took me a while to get back to talk to him about it because I went through a lot of personal things. Medical test, surgery and a death of good friend. My hair was not a priority. Basically he told me he didnt care about my issues and it was my problem. Its very disappointing. I was not asking him to fix it for free. I was asking him for his advice. Beware.

Jade Battaglia If you’re looking for a new hair stylist to entrust in, let it be Miguel! I don’t live in the area but I make sure I get a cut by him every time I’m in town. He’s that great! So worth the trip. Kind, professional, quick, great service and a master of the art of hair. You can definitely trust Miguel to keep your hair looking beautiful!

Kelcie Sullivan Miguel gave me full highlights and a haircut and he did a fabulous job. The salon is easy to find and he was very friendly. I used a Groupon voucher and there was no hassle whatsoever, everything was really easy and quick with great results. Irina Novikova I heard about Daniel around 2016 while living in Seattle area. I heard he competed on national and international hair stylist competitions and was an amazing person. Many years later I bought a property in Hollywood and asked a friend if she knows where I can find that “amazing stylist Daniel”. Maybe biggest surprise was that his salon is located in 5 min walking distance from my home! Since then I see him every time I come to my second residence in Hollywood. Last time I went straight from airport to his salon ;) My favorite treatment is herbal treatment and mask for hair health and growth. On top of everything he is a very interesting person to talk about everything since he is very intelligent, highly educated and thinking out of the box. Strongly recommend!

Magda Lopez I highly recommend Jess at Jess J Hair Studio! This is my second visit and I am just as thrilled as I was when she colored my hair 5 months ago. She is amazing. Nancy Cammarata - Moore Jess is AMAZING! I went to her with brassy hair that was a few different shades. she was able to color correct and fix the dryness. She’s very honest about what your hair is capable of doing. She will never tell you to get done a color that will ruin your hair. She’s honestly such a fantastic person and stylist. she also cut my hair in perfect layers. I would 100% recommend her

Aleksandra Stankovska Warning to all potential clients: I had the worst experience dealing with the most unprofessional hair stylist, Jess. I purchased a Groupon for a color and haircut, and I tried to get in touch with Jess, the process was a nightmare. After multiple attempts via phone, voicemail, Facebook and texts I finally secured an appointment for this Saturday at 10AM. However, Jess was a no-show! The hairstylist didn’t show up - imagine that! Despite numerous calls and texts from both myself and the JC salon receptionist (owner), she never bothered to respond or offer an explanation. Thankfully, after logging a complaint, Groupon refunded my money. Avoid Jess at all costs – her lack of professionalism is simply unacceptable. It’s almost 4PM and she still hasn’t reached out with explanation - what a shame!

Alexandra Riccardi Jess is by far the best hair stylist Ive ever had and I highly recommend her! My hair is difficult to work with and she always makes it much more manageable. She listens to what I want and gives helpful suggestions. My color, cut and treatments are always amazing and I always leave extremely happy!

Sapir Mann I got my hair done a blowout. First of all the person who needed to do my hair didn’t show up and they wanted me to wait until my friend finished. They ended up doing my hair and it looked great after 45 minutes my hair is frizzed up not even straight anymore. I would like to speak with the hairdresser. And they said it would be 35 I payed 50 plus I’m not gonna pay 50 dollars if THSI is hosue my hair turned out.

David Schon I have been going to this barbershop for about 1 year. Alonso is my barber and this guy is a true professional. He really takes pride in his work and it shows. He does not rush the job and makes sure you look fresh when you leave. His prices are fair and his cuts are the best. If you are looking for a barber this is your spot. Clean, safe and professional.

It’s hard to find a hair stylist that knows what they’re doing and can also provide professional advice on how to treat your hair at home. For the longest time, I’ve had short and thin hair and I decided to get extensions and Kay was very thorough in explaining the different types and let me choose what I was comfortable with. Madeline Garay I came to the salon for a haircut and highlight service from Kaira Fox. I’ve been going to her for about two years for my haircut and highlight and followed her here when she moved salons. It’s very difficult to find someone here in South Florida That not only cares about your hair, but also giving great service. Kaira is very gentle with my hair and is absolutely an expert with blonding. She makes me feel very comfortable and I completely trust her with my hair. My hair keeps it vibrancy for very long after my service. I don’t like getting my hair done often, and she makes sure that my highlights are very natural and can grow out subtly. She is my go to here in South Florida and an absolute gem!

Debi I visited the salon yesterday for the first time. I am a snow bird and hesitant to try someone new. The person answering the phone was very helpful and scheduled me with Kaira. I had a free consultation first and then decided to proceed with the services I wanted. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job! I was so pleased with her work. The salon is lovely and welcoming.

Sarah Butler WOW!!! I spent 7 hours here and my hair has never looked this good in my life. I requested extensive highlighting using 10 volume peroxide on my mid- back length fine hair. Well over 100 foils. Bianca then followed with a hair mask as I had also requested. She then toned/ root scraped/ blowdryed and trimmed my hair.

Eve Mi Adore my talented hairdresser Alon who Ive been going to for years & absolutely love the decor & artwork of Tomys salon! Staff is very nice & attentive (Brooke who washes the hair, has a great bubbly personality & does nice hair massages too:). Overall always enjoyed my experience there!

Michael Giulianti Erin is a true artist. But she cares about her clients budgets. I give her when I have and she never leaves me unclean. She will move worlds to get me in when I forget Im leaving on a cruise the next day or a wedding to go. And Pearl is her right hand woman. Love them. Best hair salon in Hollywood, FL

Ilene Wand Cookie is the Bomb! She dyed and styled my hair like no one ever has in my past. Total perfection. Cookie is so much fun, a gorgeous beautiful woman and my kind of girl to hang out with cant wait to see her again! Thanks for everything my dear Cookie

Fried Jerome (thecoin1st.x) Erin Ray is one of the hairdressers in the place, and apparently the owner and she fried my wifes hair, causing bald spots, and additional hair loss. We are thinking of taking her to court. I highly recommend AVOIDING this place if you value your aesthetic. Erin is sure to ruin it, or make you look worse by the time you come out. If I could give her ZERO stars, I would.
