Hands down the top number 1 CSU in California of the 23 CSUs. Go Stingers! Rival to UCDavis, one of the top UCs in California.

5 /5 Hectotane: One of the many, proud students who used to go to Sac State; graduated in the fall of 2019 (and luckily before Covid-19 told everyone to screw off). I was trying to get into Graphic Design but I had no money. So I opted instead for a BA in Studio Art Methods (New Media Focus). I was taking Multicultural Studies on the side. Everything is expensive, some of the faculty have personality issues, the few Alt-Right people kept "yelling theater in a crowded fire house;" the schools transit system doesnt go far enough, and some of the buildings had issues with rain water coming through the roofs. But I have no regrets. The areas beautiful, were able to get help with food and studies, the learning of other cultures was "colorful" in a positive way, and most of the faculty are pretty awesome. Its not UC Davis, but I highly recommend taking your chances here.

California State University, Bakersfield - Bakersfield Kevin Butler: Amazing experience. CSU Bakersfield doing Covid vaccines for anyone that wants one. All thats needed is photo ID. Very professional, very friendly, and very quick staff. The entire time from parking in the abundant parking spaces to walking to the facility, waiting in line, getting the show, waiting the 15 minutes, and leaving was less than an hour. Thank you to everyone the set up, ran, and administered the vaccines. Your staff are the real heros. The participants even were on point by following the guidelines to make the experience enjoyable.

California State University Bakersfield - CSUB - Lancaster W Karen: Need more variety. There is more to life than nursing. Yet that seems to be the focus of this campus along w AVC. Nothing there for most students. So I guess we will have to go to CSUN, or San Bernardino!

Fresno Pacific University Bakersfield Campus - Bakersfield Garrison Moratto: I did not end up attending here, but I explore my options and the staff was always friendly and helpful.

Unitek College Bakersfield Campus - Bakersfield Destinie Hurtado: I really enjoyed going through the Medical Assisting program! The staff from start to finish were very helpful! My instructor Ms. Martinez was always very helpful and is a great example of a supportive and exemplary professor ! The Medical assisting program team and the LVN program team I worked with were always supportive of pursuing bigger goals ! Thanks to them and the front office staff I plan to join the BSN program soon !
