5 /5 Brian Dillard: Great extension campus with professors that care. The main campus didnt always seem to support this campus as much when I went, but at that time, it was a new campus. If you miss taking a class, you may have to wait until the following year when it is available again... At least you have the option to go somewhere close if youre in that area.

My instructor Ms. Martinez was always very helpful and is a great example of a supportive and exemplary professor ! The Medical assisting program team and the LVN program team I worked with were always supportive of pursuing bigger goals ! Thanks to them and the front office staff I plan to join the BSN program soon !

Shoutout to Professors Alex, Dakota, Kirsten, Brandon, and Genesis—they each bring so much knowledge, passion, and support to the classroom and support in clinical. Their teaching styles are engaging, and they’re always willing to go the extra mile to help us succeed. Highly recommend this campus if you’re looking for quality education and a great support system!

SJVC Bakersfield - Bakersfield Chris Barr: The place is really nice... The teachers are amazing. I feel like they dont protect the students the way they should. You can get kicked out if a trainer at the Hospital doesnt like you. You can make your trainer mad over anything and they can send you home. If you defend yourself to them they can get you kicked out of the entire program. Even if you spent a year there and spent a lot of money already there. You wont get your money back so dont even try it. I feel like they dont fight enough for you. They just send you packing without a fighting chance. There should be something done about that. Other than that the School is great. I had no issues with any teachers there. I had one issue with a trainer at AH Hospital. They pick on you and you are out. No questions ask. No passing GO and collecting your $200... Good luck and dont stand up for yourself or else.

High Desert Medical College - Bakersfield banana master: Loved the program for medical billing and coding, not so much the externship site they sent me to.. (Absolute Billing Company) The program itself was solid and the instructors were great, but the site? Absolutely toxic. I was spoken to like I was mentally slow, constantly talked down to, and made to feel like a burden for asking questions. Peter was the only decent human being there. Kind, helpful, and actually willing to teach. The rest made me dread showing up every day. They have no problem humiliating their students in front of everyone and gossiping behind their backs. I left my extern emotionally wrecked and genuinely traumatized. If the school actually cares about its students, they’ll highly reconsider sending anyone else there. No one deserves to be disrespected like that in the name of “experience.”
