He was flexible with me having to cancel one day and showing up a little late to my appointment the next time which was great seeing as Im trying to juggle 2 kids on any given day. Super quick and efficient, and great funny conversation while he was getting the job done. I will 100% be back the next time we need a smog.

5 /5 Juan Solano: LONG BUT WORTH THE READ I took my truck to smog inspectors on Park Ave on October 2023 and the guy there told me my truck will not pass because the timing is “way way way way way way off”. Smog inspectors would not even test my vehicle to see if it would pass or not they just told me it would take a lot of money to fix. I left there a bit discouraged and thought I’d have to junk my old truck. I was recommended this place and couldn’t be more pleased! The owner took 2 minutes to tell me the other place was flat out lying. There was not a single thing wrong with my truck! We suspect the other shop just wanted to get more money out of me. Shawn, the owner, was honest and fair. He did the inspection and got me in and out in 20 minutes! I can register my truck again! Couple tips: - the owner is a good guy but not the best people person. This is a common theme with experts in their field. I would rather take someone like Shawn who is a bit short on the phone but honest than the other shop with a friendly receptionist but liars. - you need to make an appointment. This guy is busy and may not take you in right away!

5 /5 Just Me: This man is friendly and has reasonable pricing. He is a very nice person and it’s QUICK! A snap of your fingers and it’s done! I’ve been there twice. He is professional and courteous. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in or around Chico now! TY to him!

5 /5 Kira Runkle: I came to Norcal Auto after a horrible experience at Pepboys. I was more than pleased with my experience here. As a woman, it can be hard to feel comfortable going to autobody shops but the owner is so friendly and personable with many stories to share. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. One of the only star certified places in Chico and he is legit! If I could make him my regular mechanic, I would. Highly recommend to anyone in need of a smog. Don’t waste your time with Pepboys or any other smog shops in town, you’ll save your time, money and sanity by taking your business to Norcal Auto.

5 /5 Matt McTavish: Sean is a very knowledgeable Smog Technician. My 95 Toyota T-100 was having trouble passing smog. The first shop I went to told me to get rid of the truck because the mileage was too high and it wouldnt pass no matter what. I brought it into NorCal Auto, explained my situation, and he hooked up to the OBD and was able to diagnose the bad catalytic converter and exhaust leaks. He gave me his recommended for an exhaust shop and I was able to pass with flying colors.
