1 /5 Cindy Prouse: We were very happy when we met Dr. Dickey; liked him instantly but our experience since then has been beyond disappointing. We have only seen the doctor on our first visit because to try to see him right away for any minor ailments is extremely difficult; he has two offices and is scheduling about 4 weeks out. To call his office, you should expect to listen to a recording on how important your call is for about ten to twenty mins before you can speak with someone. My pharmacy is constantly having trouble getting approval for my prescription refills as they receive no reply from his office. I almost ran out of my heart medicine and when I called very concern, I was told, "Oh we are a bit behind on paperwork"; no sense of urgency or concern that patients were running out of medicine. Finally, we needed a prescription filled prior to a MRI. We called for many days and were assured it would be called into our pharmacy, it never happened. The office was advised many times the MRI was scheduled at 8 am today. We were told the request was in and since our pharmacy is opened until 9pm, we should just continue to check with them. We have a wonderful pharmacy and out of concern for us, they reached out to his office (after holding for twenty mins) she was advised the doctor was not available. Nobody would follow up or call us to say when it would be called in. Needless to say, the MRI was cancelled because the prescription was never received. Today we did get a follow up call from the office asking if we would still like the prescription filled; no apologies. It is just frustrating and sad that we feel so dismissed.
