Melissa Im extremely satisfied with my hair! Ive been to see Laura 3 times now. Once for a color correction, and a hair cut, and this last time, more blonde highlights that frame my face. She is personable, professional, and knows what she is doing! I would refer anyone to go see Laura for a cut/color/style. The salon is downtown redwood city across from Philz coffee and it is a beautiful salon. I felt very at ease there.

Samantha Rajaram I’ve been seeing Mona for years now. She can do it all-razor cuts, point cutting, balayage, highlighting, keratin treatments, even threading! She’s so talented and kind and treats her clients so well.

Lily Billings I’m usually cautious about making changes to my hair but Afsaneh at Lavish made me feel completely at ease. She gave me gorgeous, subtle balayage-style highlights without using bleach. Her skill and experience is clear from start to finish. Afsaneh also does my brows—her threading is so artful and precise. The salon is chic and conveniently located, and Allie, who does my keratin treatments, is so sweet and pleasant. I always leave feeling great. 10/10, Highly recommend!

Aileen Pan Needed a temporary gel cover for my fragile nails that just got badly filed from builder gel. Tina did a great job in being efficient (especially I only have 1hr lunch) and gentle to my weak nails. I’m surprised how I didn’t feel any pain or burn from my thin nails. Thank you for making this speedy nail job my best manicure experience!

Eileen C. My natural hair is unruly as an Asian (not silky straight but curly & soft like a Caucasian). For the longest time the only hair stylist that could manage it was the former head instructor from the Paul Brown Salon. After moving to the SF Bay Area, Lien at Happy Salon becomes my #1 Go For Rescue stylist for hair cut and coloring. I am always happy with the results. The Salon is nicely situated in downtown Redwood City with easy parking, strolling, and numerous restaurants. I make it an outing every time I get a haircut.

Maria N This salon is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but is definitely worth a visit. I started coming here because it was convenient to where I lived, but Ive stayed on for years because of the people and the wonderful service they provide. Ive been coming here for haircuts, color, highlights as well as Aveda products. I have almost always worked with the owner, Alma, who is terrific; she really tries to make sure you that you not only look and feel good but that you also have a great experience. Very accommodating too. I recently got a haircut from Elsa who also did a wonderful job. Highly recommend.

Kelly Gherardi Melissa has been cutting and coloring my hair for many years. One of her areas of expertise is knowing how to correctly cut my curly hair and teaching me how to style it myself. She is super knowledgeable about the latest products and trends and offers great suggestions and advice. My almost-completely-gray hair still looks naturally blonde to the outside world, thanks to Melissa! In addition to being an expert about all things hair, she is pleasure to spend time with.

Tami Healey I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!! Lindsey was A.MAZ.ING!!! I had such a last minute hair emergency....too humiliating for me to even step outside in public with...and even tho the shop was about to close this day, Lindsey understood my circumstances and her empathetic soul took me in at the last minute and saved the day! With her expertise in understanding hair texture and lifestyle I live, she was able to have me walking on air when i left. And our pleasant conversation while being primped really turned my awful day around! And the pricing was unbelievably fair! Worth every penny and more!
