For the longest time the only hair stylist that could manage it was the former head instructor from the Paul Brown Salon. After moving to the SF Bay Area, Lien at Happy Salon becomes my #1 Go For Rescue stylist for hair cut and coloring. I am always happy with the results. The Salon is nicely situated in downtown Redwood City with easy parking, strolling, and numerous restaurants. I make it an outing every time I get a haircut.

5 /5 Helen Fang: Love Lien! She fixed my daughter’s awful cut. She is great with her coarse, wavy hair and my fine straight hair. We see her regularly and she and her husband are both fantastic.

Prices are comparable to other Bay Area salons, but both hairdressers are skilled, and pleasant, will provide advice if needed. So your hair will be well taken care of. Today I added some pink flair. I worked with Lin, she is very professional.

5 /5 Dian Zhong: I think this is the most underrated hair saloon in this area. They are highly skilled, fast, and listen to your request carefully. Because they are super efficient, it’s almost always okay to book an appointment with short notice (even on the day). I understand that other saloons in this compound might be offering you more - more time, more attention, more “emotional service” - but this place is perfect for people who want a nice haircut easily, quickly, inexpensively, and with no hassle.
