5 /5 LM L: For the last 12 years, I have spent so much money trying to find the right stylist to cut my curly hair. Every place claimed to have the curly hair expertise, but I usually felt the cut was just so-so. That is the complete opposite of my experience at Head Designs. Sheila took the time to listen to my wants and looked over all the reference photos I brought. I went from chin length wimpy curls that loved to frizz at the hint of rain to the CUTEST pixie shag. I was never blessed with thick hair. To my dismay, part of my aging process has been thinning hair that is coarser and more fragile. An experienced stylist understands the different hair textures between younger and older clients because as people age, their hair naturally changes in texture, density, and condition, requiring different styling techniques and product choices to achieve the best results. Sheila understood my concerns and cut my hair in such a way that the thinner areas are no longer noticeable. Now all I need to do is wash it 1-2x/week and use a styling gel. On the do nothing days, I wet down any areas that are flattened or have cowlicks, fluff up with my hands and Im done. I was Sheilas lone customer that afternoon so she was able to take care of me with zero distractions. She has a calm demeanor and a gentle touch. What I appreciate the most is how Sheila really paid attention and listened to me. There is street parking and a lot behind the shop. And after leaving with such a good haircut, I treated myself to a pastry from the bakery next door. Looking forward to my next cut. Thank you, Sheila!!
