Heather Freed I just moved to Highland Park a couple months ago and was so daunted by finding a new mechanic. I came here because it’s walking distance to my place but wow, I’m so relieved. I got my power steering done which I’m not so sure about the average pricing, but I asked about fixing my AC compressor and it ended up being a bit cheaper then my old, long time mechanic quoted me. The owner is so nice and I’m so grateful to have found a good place. I highly recommend

I cannot thank Sam enough and his team (especially Tigran and Sam together). The pricing is more than fair and the service is unparalleled. There is adequate parking and they make sure to make you feel welcome!

Everyone in the shop is super respectful, polite, knowledgeable, and caring. Any questions that I have Sergio spends time to explain in full detail to me!! He even will explain the issue and protocol multiple times if Im still confused. I really really appreciate that, because Im just trying to learn more about my car and take proper care of it. He also is clear about all the different options that I can take!! I ordered a part online and he helped install it -- saving me about $150 overall. Super happy that I came here, and they will have a loyal customer for a long time!!

Ali Fazel Sounds weird to say, but I’m strangely looking forward to my next visit. Cool vibe (who says that about a mechanic’s shop?), friendly, competent, fair. I had my car towed there and they were able to work on it and get issues addressed asap. They were definitely in a position where they could have taken advantage of me but they didn’t… Family run business and you can feel it!!

Theo Salter Art and Hutch run a top notch shop over in Silver Lake. We have been taking our Subaru to them for several years now and they are always thorough, give a fair quote, and compliment that with excellent and punctual work. While they do work on some very expensive and vintage cars in the shop its nice to feel that theyll accept any make or model and give the same comprehensive and quality service.

justinoff1 Last year ny car started to overheat on the 10 so I limped off Normandy and found the closest garage which happened to be LA&J. These guys are everything you want in an independent mechanic shop. Fair , honest and hard working. Im currently having them replace my lower control arms (I supplied) as I write this. I live about 15 miles away but they were so fair when I overheated I wanted to work with them again. Its places like this that deserve the business over a large chain. The disgruntled reviews here are from people who think blinker fluid is a thing and dont understand how automotive repair pricing works..

Susan Phommasak Had a great experience here! Got a nail in my tire and called this place. They answered quickly and I drove over and got help immediately. I had a wonderful experience and the person that helped was super kind and friendly. Would recommend.
