Chinese Independent Baptist Church - Oakland (CA)

john C. Palmer We attended worship as out-of-town visitors on Easter Sunday so we can only base our review on that one Sunday service. The Spirit of God was truly alive in all aspects of the service. Fantastic Gospel music, the Word of God preached powerfully, baptisms with explanation of its meaning & invitation to anyone in attendance to come forward & be baptised or rebaptised, celebration of the Lords supper (with gluten-free crackers & an invitation to anyone in attendance to participate if they believe in Jesus as their Savior), friendly congregants of all ages & ethnicity. If we lived in the Bay Area this is definitely the church we would attend & we will certainly worship there whenever we are visiting the area.

Its so heartwarming to be part of church that makes an effort to not only welcome all into the church to get to know this amazing God we follow but to purposefully, wholeheartedly, and unreservedly take God to Oakland.

Natalie Lowe We were looking for a church that was grounded in biblical principals, personable, warm, had opportunities to help us grow and we found that in Vive Oakland. The campus pastors Pastor Bobby and Abi are the most personable, loving, and intentional pastors I have met since going to church all my life. They truly care about their members and are kind, biblically sound, and relatable good people. Come check it out, it is a great place to encounter real people seeking after God and His presence is alive in this church.

Tim Hohm Talk about authenticity! Sequoyah is truly community. Dynamic music with a live band was so good. The people are so friendly and the message was relevant, practical, and inspiring. I also LOVE the multi-cultural and multi-generational feel. It is truly a representation Oakland and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Linda Jordan-Clark This is my place of worship Methodist. I love it. They give out food, produce sometimes chicken or fish which is frozen every Wednesday from 10 am until 12 and the last Friday of every month they give out meats.

Oakland East (East Oakland 106) Came here for the seven last words my church Fame and Beebe Memorial have been doing this for the past 15 years

D.J. Pryor A most cool church. The people are very welcoming. The services are most enriching. Saint Augustines Episcopal Church is my new church home.
