Within just two hours, Sabino accurately identified and fixed the problems—a thermostat that wasn’t opening properly and a faulty oxygen sensor. What truly set this shop apart was the honesty, efficiency, and affordability of the service. Sabino is not only highly skilled but also incredibly genuine and trustworthy—qualities that are hard to come by in this industry. Before coming here, I had taken my car to three other shops in Monterey and Seaside, all of which recommended unnecessary repairs that had nothing to do with the actual issue. Sabino, on the other hand, was transparent and only addressed what truly needed attention. Thanks to him and his team, my car is now running perfectly. Matthew Lynam This is my new favorite mechanic shop. It’s a hidden gem— husband/wife team, fun punk-rock atmosphere, whisky and coffee, quality service, fair prices. Magi-Zine and Jack are easy to talk to. They care about their customers as much as they care about the cars. I almost wish I had more frequent car problems so I can go more often. I highly recommend this shop for anyone who wants more than just a routine service — it’s a genuinely enjoyable experience.

Teadora Monteith Its taken me an unfortunately long time to write this review as Ive been driving cross country. Before coming to Tom I was in a huge rut. I had to be across the country in 2 weeks and my car was having drivability issues along with the check engine light being on. It was waiting at the Chevy dealership for a part that they told me they had no idea when would arrive. I called Toms and was immediately able to schedule an appointment with them. When they looked at my car they were able to fix it in a day and charged me less than 200 dollars for something the dealership was quoting at $1,800. I could not recommend this place enough. And would also actively encourage anyone to avoid going to the jiffylube across the street from this location as they were the ones who originally messed up my car (incorrectly installed my air filter)! I wish I could remember the name of the man behind the desk who scheduled my appointment because he was great as well. The employees here were able to reassure me, help me, and save me hundreds of dollars. If u ever have car troubles please seek the help of Toms Auto Shop!

Jeremy Exceptional Service from Andy! I had my power steering pump replaced by Andy this morning, and I couldnt be happier with the service. Although he isnt the chatty type, his professionalism and speed were impressive. Thanks to his quick and efficient work, I no longer have to worry about the leaking pump. Highly recommend Andy for anyone needing automotive repairs!
