She’s a true expert, helping me grow out my gray in a way that blends beautifully with the blonde tint she adds to my hair—I get compliments all the time! Elisabeth is not only professional but genuinely cares and listens to what I want and need. I’ve also had the privilege of getting cuts from both Sergio and Fernando, and you won’t be disappointed. They’re both fantastic!

Yana Svetlichnaya Had a wonderful experience with a wash and blow out today. I am recovering from knee surgery and wanted to look and feel more like myself. The stylist was very accommodating and patient with my slow mobility and made sure I was comfortable in the chair, which I appreciated. My hair looks and feels great!

Blackheart Shade A variety of types of salons. Waxing, facials, hair cuts/color/straightening, massage parlors and nails. Have tried a few places. My #1 favorite is Happy Salon. Ive been going to them for several years to get blow outs, color, trim, and, more recently, Japanese straightening. The couple is very friendly, understanding and listens to/does what you ask for. They have great customer service, quality and prices.

Gabriela Santos Christina literally took my hair to the next level. It is so much healthier, so much more cohesive, I feel like a brand new girl. Christina was also super nice, and it felt like she really cared about me getting the outcome I wanted. And it’s SO pretty!!! (Also, a very reasonable price for the service I got, worth every cent.)

Lily Billings I’m usually cautious about making changes to my hair but Afsaneh at Lavish made me feel completely at ease. She gave me gorgeous, subtle balayage-style highlights without using bleach. Her skill and experience is clear from start to finish. Afsaneh also does my brows—her threading is so artful and precise. The salon is chic and conveniently located, and Allie, who does my keratin treatments, is so sweet and pleasant. I always leave feeling great. 10/10, Highly recommend!

Wenjing Liang Yayoi is the best hair stylist I’ve ever met, she did so great with my thin hair, made the perfect bob hair cut for me. Definitely will come back to her when she is available and highly recommend her.

Christopher Kempton Kyra Richards does fantastic work. 1. Understood why I needed a haircut based on how my hair grows 2. She was quick while catching the details 3. She isn’t afraid of freedom 4. Very engaging She has already earned a referral by someone noticing.

April Alonso I have never had such a positive experience at a nail salon before. She had amazing technique. I felt like I was watching an ASMR video 100% recommend coming here. It is slightly pricier than other salons I have been to but you get what you pay for and I can honestly say, I felt amazing leaving. I didn’t even have to ask her to cut my cuticles for acrylic set. Plus she massaged my hands.

Her Own Frequency Salon proprietor, Darcy Chacon, has been my go-to cut and color professional for the last 15 to 16 years. She is without a doubt the most highly skilled stylist I have encountered in her field, and I truly consider her an artist. When you find a good one, they are worth their weight in gold. My hair has changed so much throughout the last few decades, so having someone who really knows it is a godsend. If you want a truly exceptional resource for taking care of all your hair needs, you will not find a higher quality human than Darcy. Even though I am leaving the Bay Area, I will continue to follow her anywhere. She is worth every penny and I highly recommend her.
