5 /5 Taylor N: Daniella was awesome and gave me an amazing haircut. I hadn’t gotten a haircut in two years because I really disliked and was discouraged by my last haircut (different salon), and Daniella was super willing to listen to my concerns and what I wanted. I will for sure be coming back!

1 /5 Hannah Benício: Horrifying. Do not let Joe touch your head. I came in asking for a blunt bob. No layers, super simple, should have been easy. I arrived with my hair in a messy bun. He took my hair tie out and just started cutting my crimped, wavy hair, because you know, no need to get it straight right? He said my cheeks were too big for a bob so he would just trim off the dead ends. I reluctantly agreed, but stated again no layers. He proceeded to chop chunks into my hair and after a whopping 15 minutes total, he was done. He then made me Venmo him, and stated his rate was actually 25% higher than the website where I booked (his website…). I left and after my friend convinced me this was NOT OKAY and it would take years to grow out these missing chunks, I went back to confront him. He agreed to refund me, but (no surprise) didn’t actually send me my money back, even after I requested it twice on Venmo. This guy needs to be shut down. Complete nightmare. I will say the two girls (Daniella and Fam) working there were so sweet and tried to offer help via patching the holes with extensions. I would trust them with my hair, given they actually know what they are doing, but the owner should not be touching people’s heads.

I would genuinely fly to wherever she moves to to keep seeing her. I didn’t want to post this because she’s already booked as she is and I need her to have some openings for me!!!!

5 /5 Kathleen Crandall: I love love love this salon! This is a new salon in Jack London Square in Oakland. It’s the sister to Anton Salon on College Avenue in Berkeley. It’s a great location and it’s adorable inside. There is a gorgeous mural on the back wall that is a mini Masterpiece of art work. The small shop feels welcoming and light and hip. An added bonus are the chairs that are the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in for a hair appointment. I walked in without an appointment and I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. I would walk in again just for the welcome. But then they checked to see if anyone was available to help me with a wash and blow out. I got it done within minutes. I loved how I looked when she finished. Outside is a table and umbrella to have a drink or sandwich from a great deli next door if you need to wait. Jose, the owner could not be any more lovely. I watched him give a cut to a young man while I was getting my hair done and he’s amazing. The finished haircut was stunning. The young man was thrilled with the result. I can’t wait for my cut from him next time. I have an appointment this time! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this salon. You’re never going to want to go anywhere else. Added bonus- PARKING is ample and so easy. 5 /5 Christina Gifford: Daniella is a gem! I live in the area and saw that this place had opened a sister salon in Jack London. I stopped in for a conditioning treatment and a blowout. Daniella did a great job and made my hair look great! The highlight was her dog sitting on my lap the entire time.
