Danielle Fischer Lauren is amazing. I have wavy curly hair, and its been tricky to find some one who knows how to cut it. I had some pretty specific requests, and she delivered on all fronts. She started our appointment with a consultation, asking me about my preferences and really seeking to understand what I wanted in terms of shape and day-to-day. This is the first time in many years that Ive loved my hair cut -- and fwiw Ive gone to upscale salons (and random salons) throughout SF, SoCal, and DC. Im planning to just go to Lauren from now on. She was also super nice and friendly. The salon is sooo cute, and the neighborhood is great too. Highly recommend

Sara Star I found Amy by noticing how exquisite my friends hair cut and styling looked. That was almost a decade ago and Im still a fan of Amy-- her artistry, her work, dedication, wholesouled intention, and kindness. She is an artist through and through. As a bonus, she really understands how to make your natural texture come to its full potential. My wavy hair consistently looks awesome year-round thanks to Amy! Weve done long hair, long bobs aka the lob, color and cuts. I love how she styles my hair after the cuts, she understands my hair personality. I commute from SF for my hairapy with Amy! Michelle Zhang Kelly is the best. From consultation to appointment to the recommendations for hair products afterwards, Kelly remained super easy to communicate with and professional. Have her dyed my hair, bleached first then add a toner with a color I showed her in a picture. She replicated the color without a flaw and made the long 6 hour appointment flew by. Here’s a hair stylist who clearly knows what she’s doing and enjoying what she does.Would definitely do my hair again with her and would highly recommend! Her assistant did a good job as well!!

Henry Portillo I love this hair salon! Leo has been doing my hair for 4 years already and has never disappointed me. Today I took my grandma to get her hair done and he did a great job like always. Sinath Neang I moved to Oakland two years ago, and Tiffany has never disappointed me with her talent for haircuts. This past weekend I also decided to get my hair colored for my wedding by Tiffany, a balayage style. I wanted a light ash color and wasnt sure what was possible because my hair was black. She gave me good advice, even when I wasnt sure what I wanted or know whats the right decisions. She was thoughtful and patient with me. Afterward, it turned out beautiful, but I told Tiffany I wanted to be lighter and to even out the orange due to my hair being black. She had me come in for another session, so she could make it lighter and even. After the second session, she even gave me treatment for my hair to take home. Tiffany is not only a professional, but shes talented at what she does, and she cares about her clients happiness. Shes the best hair stylist I have had. Thank you for always giving it your best! Amanda Joseph Hands down the best experience I’ve had in a black hair, or any hair, salon. I say black hair because we ALL know the rundown when you book an appt for a press and there’s 2 people in front of you, and 2 people behind you- and two getting done while you are! Not strut! I had my OWN time slot BOTH times I visited. Once I got the curly girl deva cut by Carmen and next time I got a cut and press by Antoinette. I could go on and on, the shop is clean and intimate, and they give you a CLEAN robe to put on, they offer water... etc. i also received a hair consultation both times, and I could tell that both women are very knowledgeable about hair, true students of their craft. I am just really impressed! Highly recommend this place.

After I had sampled numerous salons around the east bay, Alli welcomed me providing intimate care and pampering from kind conversations and refreshments to the most luxurious shampoo and head massage I’ve had. Over the past few years we have played with highlights, balayage, gloss and dye and found a daily hair care regimen. My hair is beautifully cut and healthy through all of these different processes. I appreciate how she meets the vision I have while still making sure it works for my hair texture and need for fairly low maintenance styling. Her experience shows through custom dye blends, great communication, and chic cuts that look gorgeous immediately and through the upcoming months. Dina Yared This is an amazing salon, and I’m so glad I found it when I did! I injured both wrists in an accident, and I needed help washing my hair, especially since my hair is so thick and curly. Bertha washed, conditioned, detangled and styled my hair every week for a month.
