Elevate Athleisure

s Zig Wow! what a great find. I came across this store online when I was searching for a Beyond Yoga jacket that was out of stock in many places. I ordered from here for the first time and I was so impressed with the fast shipping time and the nice packaging. Great store and I will add it to my list of go to shops for my workout and leisure gear. Thank you for surprising me in a good way!

Ridge Racquet Club

Wade Beardsley Just joined last week. Club is OLD but very clean!! Nick has done an amazing job with upkeep and is almost always there to greet you. Was absolutely shocked to find out they have a squash court...who knew!! The court plays much better than the courts in the Sacramento area. Full locker room..weight room sauna... tennis...it really is a fantastic club at a great price!! Highly recommended

Sweat Nevada County

Annie Pieper Wow this studio is amazing! From the moment I joined I was greeted by the owner, shown around the gym and made to feel right at home. How have I missed this little gem right in my own backyard. The hot yoga class I took was AMAZING!!!! The inclusive welcoming reception can’t be beat. This studio offers a wonderful introductory offer of $65 giving you the opportunity to try all of their classes for 30 days. It doesn’t stop there, after that’s over if you want to join you get a SENIOR DISCOUNT. For those of you that have kids, they even offer a kids area. I can’t wait to try out all their other classes. Don’t miss out on Nevada County’s best kept secret.

Ironworks Gym

nicholas somers Such a sick gym with amazing staff and super good prices on day passes. They have everything you could need from cardio equipment, to free weights, to dumbbells, to pin loaded and plat loaded machines. I’m a real sucker for a “old school powerhouse” gym and Ironworks is definitely IT! Will be coming back here for sure next time I’m in town!!

Soulspace Collective

Felicia Drake Absolutely gorgeous space ✨ The branding is really impressive— from the moment you approach, it’s cohesive and harmonious, very vibey and beautiful. I love the lighting, and everyone is so friendly and genuinely happy to be there. I took a breathwork class with Gabriel and it was absolutely refreshing and nourishing. I’ll definitely be back for more of his classes and can’t wait to explore the rest of the offerings in this magical space. So grateful to the owners for bringing their vision to life here in Grass Valley— what a gift to the community!

The Yoga Dive

Ezekiel OBrien I came to an excellent movement workshop about using foam rollers and toys for myofascial release. It was hosted by the owner and a couple of her delightful friends from the osteo and dance worlds. Of course, I bought their excellent intro deal as I am a curious soul who knows a lot about movement, and these women had a special something. I was taken by the gentleness in Bex’s class. I had never actually seen someone use a bolster in bow pose. I went to Mandys Restorative class and was struck by how pure and focused it was, backed by serious anatomical knowledge. The puddle of drool on my mat in a prone position reminded me how deep the rest is. I do a ton of yoga and dance. I am federally disabled with a unicorn brain disease (now stable, yay ;)),and in the years that remain, I will be moving lots to manage Parkinsonism. I am very happy and adjusted. I have so much love and love my disabled life. I seek places that keep the joy going. I got a good (gym culture can be ableist as hell)feeling about this dive. Will be purchasing a class pack as I love my home studio, which has a hard-driving, warm vibe and the protection from ableism this soul needed. I also know the dive is safe, so Ill be napping here a couple of times a week;)
