Anytime Fitness

Jt Gerard This place is clean and had more than enough space for what I needed to do. I like the variety of equipment that they had available. The weights are downstairs and spaced out along with an open mat for calisthenics or other activities. Upstairs you’ll find the aerobics machines like stair masters, elliptical, treadmills, and stretching chairs. There are cubbies by the door as well as along the wall upstairs. The restrooms are clean and have showers. I like that it wasn’t crowded but it was also about 6/7 in the morning when I went. Parking is alongside the building or you can park on the street.

Liber8Fit Underground

Ashley Salinas This place is much more than a gym. Its a wonderful community. The trainers are great, member are welcoming and friendly. Its a great atmosphere, that is supportive of whatever your goals may be. The work outs are guided classes with a trainer, except Fridays which are a work at your own pace white board style or you can come in and work on whatever you want with a trainer around to help or answer any questions. I love the variety, never repetitive or boring.

Renegade

Maya I love this location! Rachel and Michael are amazing coaches that really pay attention and give immediate feedback on form and modifications. Before going here, I was a bit intimidated to start a fitness class, but everyone here is super welcoming. I feel myself getting better with every class. Highly recommend this location.

Chuze Fitness

Carlo N. Chuze Fitness is a popular upper middle class gym club in SD. They have different locations throughout SoCal. This location is very spacious and clean. They have all the weights and barbells, locker rooms, cardio machines etc. I like their facility, staff and the protein shake bar. Free wifi and parking are available. Overall, I recommend you Chuze.

Brainstorm Fitness

David Galea I wanted to start personal training for years and ultimately my hesitation came from intimidation. I was intimidated by the fact that I had never lifted weights before, I didn’t feel I was in the best shape and I wasn’t sure of my capabilities. All of that changed when I walked into Brainstorm Fitness. George-Anthony sat with me during my initial consultation, asked me what I wanted to achieve from training, explained how we could make that happen, and together we agreed upon a realistic schedule that I could and would commit to. I walked away from that consultation feeling like, “why did I wait so long to do this?” Brainstorm is the opposite of intimidating, it’s a welcoming place where the trainers encourage me to realize my potential through a variety of guided workouts and movements. I have been training at Brainstorm for about 3 months and it has truly become one of the highlights of my week. I leave each session feeling proud of myself and proud to be part of a great community.

The Yard Gym Normal Heights

Renee Smith The Yard Gym is not just a gym but a place where you can focus on achieving your health and fitness goals in a supportive and upbeat community. The gym supports you having a well rounded fitness program offering Pilates, yoga, quarterly challenges, and additional training programs. The attention to detail in the aesthetic of the gym is one of my favorite things. The trainers are all friendly and knowledgeable, and the front desk staff are all warm and inviting. You always feel comfortable during workout sessions. Im 25 weeks pregnant right now and they still continue to hype me up!

North Park Fitness

Marlon G I was in town for just a few days and needed a solid gym that offers day passes. It wasn’t easy to find but was really happy to have found this gym (20$ for a day pass). Gym is on the smaller side but has everything you need. They have an awesome selection of plate loaded Hammer Strength machines and plenty of squat racks. Staff was incredibly friendly ! I felt very welcome there. Would sign up if I lived in San Diego.

Landform Fitness

Tommy D I’ve been going to this gym for over a year now, and while I had no complaints on day one, I can honestly say that they’ve done nothing less than take steps to improve the gym, every day. From adding new machines & trainers as needed, to providing nutritional coaching and expanding their class offerings, this gym continues to embrace feedback and make the appropriate changes as requested by its members so they can get the best workout. It takes me about 15 minutes to drive here from my place, passing several other gyms along the way, but it’s totally worth it because I know I’m going to the best one. Thanks, Landform - see ya soon!
