Planet Fitness

Alex Clean facility with decent AC and friendly staff. I was last here several months ago and theyve really tidied the place up. The lockers and bathrooms are cleaner and theyve added more and better machines, including a proper double cable machine. This is also the only PF in the county Ive seen with actual barbels and genuine power racks, as opposed to the Smith machines every other location has.

Bruce Johnson Have been training at SKfit for almost two years and am stronger and fitter. Sly and his trainers run a remarkably efficient operation. My one- hour workout is all planned by Sly in advance, so that no time is wasted during the session. Truly, all you need to do is show up and be ready to work. Sly and the other trainers Ive seen in action are all about maximizing your individual training needs. The fact that there is a lot of laughter and camaraderie among everyone working out is a pleasant bonus. The fact that at two years Im a junior client- many of the clients here have been with SKfit much longer-speaks volumes about the place. Best decision I ever made was to sign on with Sly.

Bootique Fitness

Jennifer Silver If you are considering a boot camp this is the only one to consider!!! I have been working out at Bootique Fitness for a year now. It has become a part of my regular routine. I look forward to going three to four times a week! Getting in shape, having fun, meeting nice people, and making new friends! The trainers truly care about our well being and advancing our fitness level. Oh yes, they are real people too! I workout at two different boot camp locations, La Jolla and Mission Bay, so I have a very diverse workout to make sure that dont have the same workout everyday. My trainers, Molly and Sabrina, make sure that I am challenged and keep on track. Thanks Bootique for being part of my healthy lifestyle!!!! I look forward to many more years to come! :)

Locomotion Athletics | The Warehouse

Jamie Owens I started at Locomotion Athletics at the end of 2024 and I am beyond happy with the results so far. I came here wanting to move with intention and have been able to do just that. I had been struggling with tendinitis in both my biceps tendons and the coaches have been incredibly attentive. They are always checking my form, offer modifications, and push me just the right amount to keep progressing safely. The programming is smart and well-structured, and I’ve learned so many new skills while getting stronger (especially in the shoulder region). Every member, no matter their fitness level, is treated with respect and encouragement. The community here is something special, and I’m proud to be part of it!

High Level Boxing & Fitness

Manuel Jimenez I had an amazing time at my first class at High Level Boxing and it was really fun getting to meet the people there were all great and welcoming but also Raul was a great instructor who was patient and encouraging pushing us as a class. He was great to talk to with a lot of experience in boxing and knowledgeable about it really welcoming and professional. Mateo was also great and he great to talk to and really knowledgeable in boxing I had a great time talking to him and everyone else in the gym. The classes were really fun, engaging, and challenging. Note: The classes for Kids/Teenagers Are from 4:30pm-5:15-20pm However Raul typical opens the gym at 4pm incase you wanna warm up before class. The classes are 3 times a week from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Dominique Lau What I love most about Renegade classes is that they’re fast-paced, fun, super efficient, and help diffuse the mental load of what to focus on while working out. I’ve been going to Renegade consistently for over a year and have never felt stronger.

Broadway Athletic and Swim Club

Myriam Skodock I really like this gym! Its the perfect place and vibe to "destress" after or before a busy workday. There is never an overwhelming number of people there, so you can always get to the machine that you want to use. Triathlon training is perfect here, too, due to the outdoor pool. Generally, I love that I can do all my workouts outside. Everyone is respectful, especially the staff, who are super friendly and welcoming. Cute little community.
