Edgar De Leon If you’re looking for a VIP boutique experience, you’ve come to the right place. Hollz curates an exclusive atmosphere for her clients with her attention to detail and service. You really get to relay what you’re looking for without the distractions of noisy crowded bars. My fave is that there’s always great lighting, so you never have to sit in a “bad chair” that’s far away from any lighting. You are the “star” for that hour, Highly recommend her a fresh cut!

Caleb Dorfman Hollz really took the time to get to know me and what style hair I liked. Many hair dressers tend to take just a minute to hear what you want. Hollz really took a good amount of time to listen to what I was going after and even discuss ideas with me about what to cut and what not to cut! A fantastic service and nice conversation.

Dakota Flick Ive been seeing Holly for quite some time now and she always does an amazing job. Very attentive and always makes sure to listen to your needs. I cannot recommend her enough! If youre looking for a great cut in San Rafael, this is it.

Veronique Collet Very nice hair and beauty salon. The decoration is beautiful and modern and there are paintings of a Colombian artist. Marynella is really very nice. It was the first time I came. I had a terrible head and I didnt like the color and the cut of my hair. Marynella did a great job and very professional. I love the color and cut of my hair. I finally found my new hairdresser. Tiffany McClymonds Permfection, I’m so happy with my hair. These ladies know what they’re doing, they are attentive, kind and extremely knowledgeable about all things beauty. You can get just about anything you want done here and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I drove almost an hour and I was not disappointed, prices are reasonable and you certainly get what you pay for. They’re an old mom and pops business that’s been around for a while and it shows I’m so happy. Lori did my hair and it was perfect but I can confidently say it doesn’t matter who does it they’re all amazing. Matt Trojnar I used to go to a fancy barbershop but didnt really understand the value proposition. Got referred to Anna at A&T and have been very happy for the last six months. Anna is easy to schedule in advance, reasonably priced, very nice to chat with, and most importantly does Excellent work. I get a lot of compliments now on my cuts and can afford to go more often too.

S P Anna has been taking care of my naturally curly, colored hair for 13 years. I always get a GREAT haircut. Every time. I wouldn’t see anyone else. Her salon is Covid compliant, extremely clean and convenient. Her prices are very reasonable. She is a skilled professional plus she’s a delight to talk to. Treat yourself , go see Anna. Now that life is opening up again, seeing Anna for a haircut is more relaxed. She still follows COVID practices. And she still does FABULOUS haircuts! It had been a year since my last visit and I looked it, I was a little nervous. Anna helped me adjust to a new style that I really like and is much more manageable Im grateful her business survived and Il continue to be an enthusiastic client of 14 years. Luis I cant explain how happy Im with this place it has been almost 3 years that I was not able to stop at the barber shop for the simple fact that a lot of places they dont really know hot to cut hair. Renee Pollard Very Clean shop love the owners very friendly. They use very good products for your hair. I had highlights applied very good color job, blended well with my skin because they took time to figure out the correct hues for my skin color. I am African American with olive tones.

Thomas Mena It is a very nice place. To begin with, it is very quiet, there is almost no car traffic and you can expect the arrival and departure of the local train.

Rafey Balabanian I moved out of California about 3 months ago now and with the benefit of some time to reflect, I realize now what I miss the most: the sunsets at Stinson Beach? The beauty of Marin? The food in SF? The amazing people of NorCal? Nah, what I miss most is getting my haircut by David Karvesales from David James Salon. And it’s not close. David is not only the most talented stylist I’ve ever had, he’s also been the most consistent. He’s cut my hair for the last seven years and I swear that every time I left his salon, I had to send him a text to let him know that he surpassed the last cut he gave me. He did it every single time. Oh, and he’s also the coolest person you’ll ever meet. Unpretentious, kind, generous and so fun to talk to. I should have never moved. One of the biggest mistakes of my life.

Nick White David, the attentive and skilled proprietor of this business, is a master with styling and cutting hair. With guidance or without, he will have you looking and feeling your best after a session with him. His skill set is clearly desired as booking an appointment with him sometimes takes well over a month—plan accordingly. If he isn’t available, he also employs a staff of many other skills stylists, barbers, and colorists. David, and the DAVID JAMES salons, are well worth a visit.

Monica De Armond 5-Star Salon for Black Womens Curly Hair: Where Magic Happens! I found a haven for my curly hair at Salon B. They completely understand my hair needs and give me amazing haircuts, color and styling for my curls. The blowouts are also quick and make my hair look beautiful. They offer a lot of hair care here. I have went from blonde extensions, to dark hair, back to long dark extensions! All done by Bishlam! Melanie Walker Anyone that is particular about their hair, man or woman, goes to Brewer Phillips. I have personally been going to Ann 40 years and even though that is forever, she continually surprises me with how up to date and modern she is. Always continuing her education with new styles and the latest products she also sells in her salon. Her color and haircutting expertise is beyond compare anywhere in Marin or the bay. She is an owner/operator and has a gorgeous salon with other stylists available as well. Make an appointment because they are that booked and the cancellation list is quite long if you feel lucky. There is, in my opinion, no other salon to go to

Maranda Asbell Had an appointment with Holly. She was able to cut my hair just how I had wanted it, after I showed her a few photos on my phone of different hair styles that I wanted aspects from. Holly absolutely nailed how I wanted my hair. I dont always have a great way of explaining how I want my hair, but she executed it perfectly. She was very professional, and all around I would absolutely recommend her. I will never go to anyone else!

Patricia Palmerston First of all, this place is BEAUTIFUL and has so many services offered (that I still have yet to try out). I came here for hair styling and received amazing service from Holly Schaefer, which I had expected because Ive been her client for over 4 years. I recommend asking for her first if shes available, but anyone here is highly skilled. She does great styling work and every time I see her she seems to have just learned a new style from a specialty class so it seems like she really likes to keep up with new trends and adapt her style. I honestly cant say enough good things about her styling, but I wanted to add that she is a COLOR EXPERT and did a beautiful job on my sisters hair when I took her for her birthday. Even if you go through her instagram (handle #styledinmarin) you can see the range of coloring, cuts for everyone and all hair textures, and even wedding hair styling. Amazing stylist and great conversationalist and can even pick up on when you dont really feel like having a conversation which is a very preferable skill when its your day off and you just want to relax. Ashlyn McKnight I was ready to make a major styling change by shaving half my head, and Victoria was amazing in being able to get clear in what I wanted and how to do it. Its been two months and I still get comments on my haircut! Im looking forward to coming back and letting her continue her perceptive care.

Super professional cut with everyone wearing masks. Staff are friendly and price is reasonable. They are open Mon - Fri 9am - 5:30pm, and Sat 9:30am - 5pm. Times vary right now so call before you go. Help support this great local business!

Emma Anthony I’ve been getting my eyelash extensions done here every 5 weeks for the last 2 years and I’m addicted! They come out perfect every time and last a long time. My eyelashes are still just as healthy as they were when I started. Linda does a wonderful job :)
