Journey Christian Church Seattle

Gabrielle Hagen Everyone is very welcoming and happy. The sermons are more dissections of the bible and how we can use the lessons in our day to day life to reflect and grow. Everyone from every walk of life is welcome anytime. The pastor is a kind woman who really knows her stuff. Not to mention all the good stuff they do raising money for the community and those in need. Great place and nice people.

Open Home Church

Kiné Camara Dope church, beautiful people. The pastors are loving, open minded, and so consistent. This is a place where you can become part of a community, explore and deepen faith through discipleship and have fun! I chose this church because I felt disconnected to the “business” of bigger churches. Was feeling like Sundays were about wearing a cute outfit, to attend a service with good music. Open home is like much more like the acts church. We support each other in real and tangible ways. There is commitment and flexibility. Lots of realness!!! No topic is off the table to talk about as a community and that is great.

Plymouth Church United Church of Christ

Ruth W Long time member here. We’re a progressive Christian community, on the journey together, growing in our faith, with radical inclusivity and social advocacy, diverse worship expressions, music and arts, all ages programs. Awesome leadership in our Sr Pastor, the Rev Dr Kelle Brown who is a voice for truth and justice. Join us on line during pandemic—it’s almost as good as being there!

Epiphany Parish of Seattle

Burr Anderson I was married here on March 29th 1980 to my dear wife Ruth of 40 years. She passed in 2020. I just learned that Laura C. Fraser who presided over our union has passed too. The church and grounds are very special to me as I grew up in Madison Park.

Banner Church Seattle

Josiah Carver This church is the real deal. As I’ve gotten to know people at the church, the church has the goal to love the city of Seattle. Also, the presence of God is there. I’ve so enjoyed being a part of this community so far, and planning for many more years to come!

The Hallows Church

Maryna Usenko Grateful to call this my home church for the last 7 years. This is a church that doesnt shy away from difficult questions in life by looking and pointing to the Gospel according to the Bible. Theres an overwhelming amount of information out there about finding meaning and purpose in life. The Hallows Church offers a perspective that brings peace, joy, redemption, and hope for the future, all found in the Christian God.

Sideris Church

Alexander Rojas TL;DR: Sideris Church is a welcoming, Bible-centered community where newcomers feel genuinely connected and empowered to grow in their faith. From the moment I stepped into Sideris Church, I felt seen and welcomed. A member noticed I was new and took the time to introduce me to others who shared similar backgrounds, making the start of my journey there feel natural and genuine. People here remember your name and make it a point to reach out, creating a sense of belonging that isnt just surface-level. As a newcomer, I appreciated how the church offers a range of ways to connect--whether that means joining a group, volunteering, or simply enjoying meaningful conversations / lunch after the service. At Sideris, the sermons stay true to the Word of God, delivering messages grounded in biblical teaching. Theres a deliberate focus on not just understanding scripture but on actively living it out, making it easy to translate faith into everyday life. Its refreshing to be in a place where the Bible isnt just preached but practiced, with an emphasis on how we can apply Gods teachings in our own lives. Another highlight of Sideris is its diversity. The congregation includes people from all backgrounds, professions, and interests, making it a truly dynamic community. Theres always an opportunity to get involved, but its up to you to take that first step and say "yes." Even something as simple as a four-minute conversation with a stranger has been key in helping me build friendships and find my place in Seattle. Sideris has crafted a space where community is both accessible and intentional, turning Sunday mornings into a genuine time of connection.
