Thank you also for your insightful and direct answers to questions that were expressed. Its a complicated and sometimes disturbing world we live in and the only thing I have to hold onto most of the time is Jesus and "what He do." Your comment about your revelation that 1844 was right in the time of reconstruction was interesting. I had never thought of that before. I watched the documentary film by Henry Louis Gates Jr. called "The Reconstruction." It was extremely educational for me. I learned a great deal about the history of the "black mans" struggle that I never knew because I was never taught. Have you watched it? I recommend it and wish everyone would watch it.
