1 /5 Just Trying: Let me make this easy for people thinking about going here: It is not LGBTQ+ friendly by denomination. If you enjoy going to a place where you know queer folks will be barred from certain participation, and they have to hide and live in fear, then this is the church for you! If you are in the queer community, I recommend you stay clear of here, because your 2 options are to hide or be viewed/treated as "less than". Yes, they allow women in leadership (since a woman founded it in the 1920s). The started way ahead of their time, but they are sadly still behind on queer issues. People here are nice for the most part, but if you are the victim of trans/homophobia, it wont get handled well, because technically your existence makes you wrong.

Pam Phree I was looking for a church that taught me something. I didnt want to be just preached to, but understand the when, why and how part of things. And I wanted someone knowledgeable to explain the Bible to me. Derrick, the Minister at COC, is just that man. He is spiritual without being religious and I like that most about him. If youre looking for a church you can call home, this ones for you.

Kathy Hibbard We are from out of town and visited the church two Sundays and love it! Pastor Curtis sermon today was so full of hope and yet challenging. The people treat you like family and you can feel safe. If we could move here we would attend this gathering!
