1 /5 sue tarwater: I visited the office twice for what I thought was tmj. After the x-ray, it was determined that there was bone growth on my jaw. The doctor was going to consult his colleagues for suggestions since this was new to him. With my permission I was fitted for a bite guard and told to return in a week. The bite guard was fitted, I was told how often to wear it, and to move and stretch my jaw. I was told repeatedly that I was a special case. I left not feeling confident that this was the place for me. I left a message that I would not be continuing care, and the Doctor’s assistant called me back. All she said was the doctor said it will get worse. I told her I wanted the refund owed me. She said it was only $800 because I didn’t have blood work. She said the bite guard was $3750 which included a couple follow ups (which I never had). Total bill: $4500. 2 visits; bite guard; consult and x-ray. Buyer beware!!

5 /5 Heidi Stewart: From the moment I walked in it was different than any medical/dental experience I’ve ever had. Vanessa welcomed me and when I turned around Jenni was already there to take me back and begin procedures (not put me in a room for 10 minutes to be ignored.) She explained the cone beam scan as she did it and answered any questions I had. At one point she didn’t know the answer and left the room for less than two minutes, and came back with it! Dr Bloxham very patiently went over the procedures and explained my scans to me. I’ve never seen full head scans like that so I found it particularly interesting. Makenna came in to go over payment procedure and she was very sweet about all that business stuff. She, Dr Bloxham and Jenni all described what the next few hours, days and weeks would look like for me and as I left Vanessa went over that again. At no time did I feel rushed or passed off, it was actually a lovely and relaxing experience. It hasn’t been long enough for me to know if the injections worked, but I am confident that they either will, or Dr Bloxham will try another method as he informed me he would.

A plan going forward was developed while I was in the office and I am very comfortable with the process now in place to find relief for my TMJ and sleep apnea issues. I’m especially grateful that they were able to set up upcoming appointments in a timely manner to address the issues before they progressed.

5 /5 Sue Crawford: The staff and crew of Dr Bloxem go above and beyond to make everyone informed and comfortable. I have been told for years that nothing can be done for TMJ. MY DENTIST gave me a referral for Dr Bloxem. He has been a life saver. I fell down a flight of stairs and really damaged my neck and jaw. Thanks to PT and Dr Bloxem I am almost back to normal. I highly recommend Columbia Center for Sleep Apena and TMJ. It has been such a blessing in my life.
