5 /5 Lakita Hicks: I definitely plan to visit again! Ive visited other Rosies Gaming locations in the Hampton Roads area and wanted to try a room at The Rose Gaming Resort. Its located a little over an hour coming from the Richmond area which made it a 2.5 hour drive. It was a nice drive and easy to get to. I was able to get great parking near the hotel elevator entrance. Check in was fast as well as a friendly reception from the staff and was given the option to get a complimentary breakfast delivered in the morning. We headed straight to our beautifully designed room, which was the main reason I was there! Our king room was spacious with nice amenities, including a coffee maker, safe, refrigerator, and nicely labeled light switches with the added ability to control the room lights from bed. As for the Gaming floor, there were plenty of machines available and the food definitely smelled delicious. On my next visit, I definitely stay at the machines a little longer and check out the bar.

4 /5 Yolanda Elba: The Rose Gaming Resort was absolutely fabulous! The property was spotless, with a beautiful interior and an elegant, VIP feel throughout. Our room was stunning—well-appointed, comfortable, and had everything we could have wanted… almost. The food at the restaurants was outstanding, and the casino was clean, inviting, and full of good vibes. Staff were warm and friendly, making the whole experience even better. The only thing missing was a microwave in the room. After enjoying some of the delicious restaurant food, I was surprised I couldn’t heat up leftovers. For such a stellar resort, this small addition would make it truly 5-star, top-tier in every way. I love this place and will definitely be back—please consider adding microwaves to the rooms!

5 /5 Mark McKie: My wife and I each had a comp hotel night and were delighted to see that Brian Christopher was coming to The Rose and were able to book the two days he was there. My comp was for a deluxe king room and my wifes was only a king room. Upon check in the great front desk kept us in the same room so we did not have to move to change room grade the next day. The front desk were always helpful, gave out water, coffee pods, and always greeted you as you walked by. The room was huge, large window overlooking the highway but not much noise. Never heard another hotel guest from the room, above us or on same floor. Interior of room is great, I do not know how people can complain about the "cement" ceiling. Its kind of cool. Yes, the first time there it is kind of a trick to find the hotel entrance, there is signage but small. Will be no problems next visit. They also offer a "continental breakfast" which is delivered to a hook next to your door that consists of juice, muffin, fruit, breakfast bar etc. All in all, great experience, ALL hotel staff were great, cant wait to visit again.

3 /5 Shy Shy: My daughter and I went because She wanted to go for the first time. The machines are tight and it took me a few hours to win back just a little bit of money. The service in the food hall needs to be addressed. There were 3 employees behind the counter at the café and none of them acknowledged us when walked to the counter to order food. They continued talking and joking with each other until I asked if I was in the right spot to order. The food was very good. The service at the bar in the casino was really bad. My daughter waited at the bar for 10 minutes while bartenders passed her by. A man walked to the bar and received immediate service. The female bartender told her that she wasnt her bartender and instructed my daughter to move to another seat to be waited on. My daughter, a member of the service industry, informed her that this is not how that should work. The female bartender went on to tell her that shes not her bartender and she was not going to serve her. We felt that the female bartender was very rude. When another customer overheard our conversation, he concurred and stated that the hotel bar would be open and that the service over there was great. He was not lying. My daughter went to that bar and got great service and tipped very well. The only advice I can give, whether you want to hear it or not, is to get quality workers and not someone who is there to fill a spot.

5 /5 kenneth campbell: My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Rose gaming resort hotel. The room was larger than expected, modern, and very comfortable. The service we received was professional, personable and topnotch. Room for improvement would be to have parking, especially handicap parking, on the first floor at the hotel entrance to help those who have difficulty walking.
