2 /5 Eden Loverso: I had my first microneedling session today, something I had been genuinely excited about. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling quite shaken. As I’m currently breastfeeding, I had to forgo any numbing cream. I was asked about my pain tolerance, which is generally quite high, but nothing could have prepared me for the level of discomfort I experienced. It felt as though the device was being pressed into my skin with excessive force, to the point where it became almost unbearable.
To be clear, I wasn’t expecting the treatment to be painless, I fully understood that some discomfort was likely. This isn’t only about the pain itself. What made the situation difficult was the lack of empathy from the practitioner. Her manner was very blunt, and there was little to no reassurance or care offered throughout the treatment. Despite the intensity of the procedure, I believe the experience could have been much more manageable if she had shown a bit more compassion and attentiveness.
I left the appointment feeling disheartened and disappointed, particularly with the overall customer service.
