1 /5 Ksenia Carvalho: I booked a bleach and colour with Sophie for June 25th, I was very disappointed with my results. I have "long" brown hair that is a bit wavy and wanted blue-purple hair
She recommended a trim because the ends of my hair are a bit dry, to which I agreed, overall my hair looked the same.
Afterwards, she wanted to bleach my hair twice, and began the first round of bleach where she applied it everywhere except the roots and covered it with cling wrap. She didnt check up on my hair once during the processing time, my scalp was burning after 30 minutes and I was on the verge of tears around 40 minutes due to the pain, so I went to get her. I found her sitting in the reception, there was no-one else in the salon so I do not understand why she NEVER checked my hair during the 40 minutes.
Once she did check the condition of my scalp, she cringed and said it was very red, she washed out the bleach and we did a colour consultation where I was told she couldnt do the colour due to the scalp burn, I was quite disappointed but was told I could come back to do the colour a week or so later. I asked her to tone my hair at least because it was yellow and striped, but she didnt. She was then quite rough when separating my hair for the blowout, which was wet and freshly bleached, which also hurt and probably caused breakage.
In the end, I got charged for a fringe cut ($20) despite her just trimming the ends of face framing layers, a haircut ($75) despite my hair looking the same, and bleach (~$190) which did not include toner or any correction for the dark orange stripes. I did not return, and have been attempting to repair the damage. I had BLISTERS AND SCABBING on my scalp for a couple days after the burn.
EDIT TO REPLY: I do not understand if the bleach was applied away from my scalp, how was my scalp burned? I think it was poor application and not checking on me throughout the process, which I also donβt remember her asking me to call her (Iβve never had a hairstylist not check on my hair, especially paying for a bleaching service). Similarly, Ive had my hair bleached multiple times a couple years ago and have never had a sensitive scalp or banding on my hair, nor did I say I had a sensitive scalp. Ive never had such a negligent experience.
