National Gallery of Victoria - Melbourne

Matt Very interesting place if it takes your fancy. Lots of historical art and pieces to modern day. Best of all it’s free entry! Just a heads up it does get extremely hot inside and be careful of bag size. Backpacks are not allowed inside however you can check them for free.

St Vincent Gardens -

sventek Beautiful lush well maintained garden. Lots of welcoming grass to picnic on, nice flat walking and biking tracks around for the kids, lovely playgrounds on one end of garden, separated by fenced tennis courts between main garden area, so you can choose to relax on a quieter end, or join in the liveliness at the other end. Toilets available on site. Theres 2 hour and 4 hour free parking spots around.

Model Tudor Village -

Jody Mahmoud A small and cute village model, with tiny cottages surronded by greenery. Small details that give the cottages a realistic look. Love it.

Albert Park -

Andreas Ludwig Stunning park and lake. Lots of space to exercise, relax, walk the dog or just enjoy the news and the weather. My dog and I had some hours to kill, waiting for my wife, and used the time to walk around the lake. Wonderful views, rest areas and views. Very happy 2 hours!

Birrarung Marr -

Raquel Robinson Went to Moomba here, one day spent on the Birrarang Marr side, the next day spent over at the Alexander Park side of the water. It was really hot the days I went so was hiding in the shade which theres a lot of, water is nice, watching the jet ski show, parked at Melbourne park $7.50 for the day if no event at their venue. Recommend prebooking parking as its a lot cheaper

Hare Krishna Melbourne (ISKCON) Temple - Albert Park

amit kapuria 5 Stars – A Truly Divine Experience ISKCON Melbourne is a spiritual gem in the heart of the city. The temple is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and filled with divine energy. The deities are stunning and the daily aartis and kirtans uplift the soul. The devotees are welcoming and always ready to help newcomers feel at home. The Sunday Feast is a highlight – delicious vegetarian food served with love, accompanied by inspiring talks and joyous chanting. It’s more than just a place of worship; it’s a community that promotes peace, compassion, and devotion. Highly recommended for anyone seeking spiritual growth, cultural connection, or just a peaceful break from daily life.
