4 /5 Maria Ngo: Its a lovely beach to walk along during low tide. The two rocky patches are fun to explore. To get to the caves, turn left when you come down the stairs (with 83 steps) to the beach. There were nasty March flies when we were there. To access the caves turn right towards the sea when you reach the rocks. Dont walk past the rocks. The entrance is accessible during low tide of at least 0.5m. Any deeper and I reckon it could be dicey. Its good to wear aqua shoes. You can look down into the caves from the top of the rocks if you dont want to walk in the cave. To climb the big rock, continue walking on the beach side of the rock until you see where it slopes and is "easy" enough to climb up. Free parking. Theres a very good toilet block in the car park area.

5 /5 Aleta147: Amazing view at this place. Be careful when youre at the rocks as theyre slippery or jagged. Need to visit this place at low tide.

5 /5 Alistair McLean: There are quite a lot of timber steps from the carpark to access the beach. The surf is dangerous and not patrolled - there were four fatalities in 2024. You need to time your visit carefully with low tide. Even at low tide, you need to wade through shallow water across rocky outcrops, so wear shorts and shoes that can get wet. You can also see inside the cave through a large hole from the rock shelf above but cant access it from above. Allow about 30 minutes for a stroll from the carpark to the cave. Its worth the visit. Kids need to be carefully supervised and keep an eye on the time and the tide once you are inside the cave.
