Hus G totally agree with review above. This person is very aggressive, has no people skills, makes up cost as he goes, doesnt provide invoices (even though I request them) not punctual, there were even times where he didnt show up to our meetings, getting John Aloe to look after a family members death was the biggest mistake Ive made and we are still suffering for it. He hasnt done what he was meant to, doesnt want to rectify anything and now doesnt answer my calls (he has even hung up on me when I asked simple questions). Hes now blocked my number, yes you heard right a lawyer who I spent thousands of dollars with has blocked my number. I was a customer that paid big money for small results. I will be taking this matter further. I feel the same as above - I wouldnt recommend an enemy to John Aloe.

Jason Sobell Last year we used John to tackle a two legal cases, one against a major Australian enterprise organisation, and another against a smaller company.
In both cases he litigiously slayed the defendants, resulting in full payment and costs from the other parties.
Some of the comments say his interpersonal skills are not good. I agree that he tends to come across brash and loud, but as anyone who has used a lawyer in earnest should know, you dont want a softly spoken person, you want someone who comes across as unyielding, confident, and competent.
As for "the client is always right"... well in legal cases that is simply not true. As clients we have facts, claims, and opinions, and the courts and other party lawyers will do their damnedest to disprove or discredit them. If he tells you something is irrelevant or inadmissible... it is! Its pointless getting upset by that.
He is hard of hearing, so he has a tendency to be loud, but he dealt with our court matter incredibly efficiently, and it was clear that he has an extraordinary knowledge of the law.
He was completely open about every single cost, and itemises every item on his invoices. He tends to try and keep meetings short, but that works in our favour as he charges by the hour, as do all lawyers.
Would I recommend him? Yes. Will he happily sit and chat about issues irrelevant to the case? No.
If you want a sympathetic ear, go to Slater and Gordon. They will happily charge through the nose to listen to your issues.
If you want to resolve a legal issue, or obtain advice as to whether you have a case or not, use Aloe & Co.

Mahalia Gorrie John was very unusual to deal with and at one point raised his voice when I wasnt understanding what he was explaining. He wasnt able to give be a simple figure of costs and was incorrectly adding numbers by hand.
I cannot speak for his legal credibility as I wont be proceeding with this company, but I can say that the office was messy, John was not adhering to Covid restrictions but not wearing a mask during out consult and isnt somebody id want to deal with on going.

PATRICIA LOWE Totally agree with the 2 bad reviews, everything said is what my fiancé and I experienced, the other review which is garbage must be a friend of Aloe and Co. Stay away from this place, unless you want bad customer service and no transparency throughout your legal case. Rude and arrogant owner JOHN!
