Kiersten Cardwell Family friendly environment, very welcoming, and full of inviting happy faces! They opened the doors to us with open arms and the pastor preaches the KJV like it should be. This is a soul saving, God fearing, down home, small town church.

Our Mother Of Sorrows Catholic Church

Richard In all my years this has got to be one of the most unique Catholic church’s I’ve attended. The building is small, maybe 24’ wide and 80’ long but it has a lot more character than most church buildings I’ve admired and attended. It’s very cozy, almost more like a grotto than a building. I’m told it was built in the 1940’s with thick stone walls, a high pitch roof (12:12?), expose wood rafters and beams. It’s a perfect example of a typical hill country building using the resources of the area. I’m surprised it doesn’t have some sort of a historical plaque on the front of the building detailing its history. All that I can say is it’s an amazing example of the simple style of craftsmanship of the period. I probably needed to go back because I was so impressed with this little church that I didn’t remember what the sermon was about.
