Amy & Avery Nubson No matter how new or your old car might be, it’s frustrating when it has a problem. Even more frustrating, and scary, when it breaks down on a cross country road trip. We’ve driven across the country 20 times with our 2009 Venza and it’s been very reliable. With 4 hours left on this road trip to Albuquerque, our Venza had some rattling underneath. On the way we stopped for the night in Amarillo TX, unsure of how to reach a trust-worthy mechanic. We found one at Carlson’s Automotive! Bonus that it was a mile away from our hotel. They look at the car early in the morning, it was a minor fix, nothing major at all, they took great care of me. I would drive back here for more mechanical work if needed! I feel safer on the road knowing there are trustworthy and honest mechanic out there!

Rick Uhlig Ive taken my truck to other shops and thought I was getting treated fairly but Vance at Howells automotive did everything he could to keep the price as low as possible, he explained what needed to be done by showing me the areas that he would fix and even sent pictures of the work in progress. He only uses quality parts, no cheap stuff that will only last a short time and gave me the option of choosing which parts according to what I could afford. In short he works with you and keeps you informed on what he is doing. I know where my vehicles with get service from now on. Thanks Vance for helping me out when I really was in a tight spot

Amanda Feigin I never write reviews but felt the need to for D&K. We were driving across country from California and the car (with 200,000+ miles) was having difficulty starting so we stopped by this shop. Everyone was friendly and they went out of the their way to prioritize our car so we could continue our drive and get back on the road ASAP. They quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem (needed a new starter motor) and were able to get the parts needed to fix the car within 2 hours. They also fixed my cruise control for free without me asking, which was so generous and incredible since it’s been broken for 10+ years and no mechanic has ever said or done anything to fix it. Overall, so convenient and very reasonably priced with clear communication and transparency. Thank you so much D&K - if I lived nearby this would be my go to mechanic!
