1 /5 Inkedbluemama 22: My two oldest children and I are new to the area so I signed us up to volunteer Thanksgiving Day at the arts and craft table. Weve never been to the church before, but I wanted to see what it was like. We got there, signed in and waited for our time slot to begin. A few people who obviously were members or knew the person in charge of the activity walked up, we followed. We were asked by the man running the activity if we were there to participate and I said we were volunteers, to which he quickly replied, "they had enough people, thanks anyways". We specifically signed up for the slots and took time out to offer help but were shut down before we could even begin. We ended up just walking out, my children and I were very disappointed to say the least. Wouldnt have expected a Church to treat anyone like that.
