The shop was also welcoming, smelled really good, clean & organized. Will recommend to others

Leslie Was excited to come here thinking it would save me the drive to Austin for my curly hair, however did not have a good hair experience. While the place and people here are fun and welcoming my hair did not come out good. I left not having what I would call a good hair day and it was a big fro by the time I got home, with white stuff falling from my hair from the clay mask they used that was not fully washed out. The next day I had to wash my hair. My hair cut is so uneven and I notice it more and more every day which caused me to leave this review, at first I thought I could ignore it. I asked for bangs and layering and my bangs are so uneven it looks ridiculous. For the money I spent, over 200$ I will definitely drive to Austin to get a good curly girl hair cut and style for the same price if not cheaper.

Felicia J First time getting my hair done here last month and it was a great experience. I had a consultation with Ayana who I feel understood my vision. When I returned for the appointment she did an amazing job. I was really nervous to have a new person cut my hair and she made me feel comfortable. She shaped it up and got rid of the weight which has made wearing my curls easier as I am growing them out. I will be returning for a follow up with her in January which I am looking forward to it. Cheri took the time to talk to me and answer all my questions and shes an expert in what she does .I asked her other clients and they told me that Cheri is the best and they have been coming here for years. Cheri made me feel comfortable and is very respectful. She will be working on my daughters hair as well . Balance Salon and Spa is clean, pretty looking and professional inside. I had gone to six other salons in Killeen Texas that day and not only the inside of their salons were dirty, looking like it hasnt been swept or mopped in weeks. It makes you wonder if their salon equipment are clean? "Some of the owners & workers were very dismissive , rude and had no patience answering my questions. Figured they didnt need my money, which isnt wise because inflation prices has gone high. Moreover, I will going to Balance Salon & Spa from now on and taking my friends and family there ❤️❤️❤️

India Faith I was nervous going into a salon for the first time in a good 5 years, but Cheri was really sweet. As soon as I walked in, she knew who I was even though I never met her before, and she got me straight into the chair to start the appointment. The store was clean and cute! She is really easy to have a conversation with. She asks questions and keeps the conversations going. The haircut was cute, and the curls were cute. Just make sure you know what you want before you go in! It’s hard for the stylist to give you the cut you want, if you don’t know what you are after yourself. Would go again to try her other services as well!

Stephanie I’m new to the area and was anxious about finding someone who knew how to cut my hair given all the details I have. I came across Cheri and decided to take a chance. Cheri is one of the sweetest people on earth and her talent with hair is remarkable. She immediately knew what to do without me having to say a whole lot. From great cuts to any color you desire, Jerry and staff will make you look your best. They are always busy but walk-ins are welcome. Call them and make an appointment to be sure you will be seen. Prices are reasonable for the area and for having a personal hairstylist. Go make your appointment you wont be disappointed.

Fami Fahmida She is the most fake person I have ever seen. She overcharged me. While I booked appointments to keep my spot she charged $150. I did brazillan blowout.Once she had done she charged $260 again. Price was $250,I gave her $10 tips. I didn’t even realize she already charged $150 on top it she charged $260. Once I came back home I checked my card and asked her to refund.She said she would refund me. But more than month she didn’t refund my money. So I had to complain to my credit card company. I wanted to give zero rating. By the guys she is a big liar about her tons of cancer.Her service was very poor. I would not recommend any one to do there. Please be aware that fraudulent behavior. I don’t mind to pay if the service is good. But the way she cheated on me only for few dollars I can’t believe it. How cheap!

If you want a super bright vivid color done, Trish is your girl! If you want a split die or something fun, she’s your girl! I will never stop going to her. Most trustworthy, kind, and caring stylist Ive ever had. I always felt uncomfortable at other salons, especially being neurodivergent, but with her, I’m always comfortable. Love love her ❤️

Tea Denerson If you’re looking for someone to do your locs? AMARI! Her work is amazing and I love her attitude towards treating and maintaining locs. I was hesitant about going to someone new because of my hair texture and I had been to stylists before. I felt like my hair wasn’t getting the proper treatment and I wasn’t getting the information I needed to maintain locs with my hair texture and curly ends. After sitting in her seat, I’m never going to anyone else.There was a lot I learned just by sitting in her chair and I started my locs in Dec of 21. I love Amari, her attitude and patience. If I could give her more stars I would. She’s truly a blessing and I loveeee my hair!

Lisa Espiritu Lily is amazing!!! I love how she takes her time with cutting and styling hair. She also takes into consideration your ideas of how you want your hair to be cut and has nailed it for me twice! I will sadly miss her as we only have a few months left here before we move but will definitely see her at least once more. Lily does not disappoint.

Malaika Avi I had to cut my hair off after my experience with Tedaka. She relaxed my hair & bleached and colored it. My hair fell shedded and broke off. I also didn’t like the color so I then went back to her and she suggested we do not use bleach to “keep the integrity of my hair” - but I didn’t realize the hair was dead the second she touched it. My new hairstylist advised me to leave a ‘nasty’ review as the shops owner , Ms. D watched her do this, and anyone with a liscense should know better. I’d rather she had advised me that what I wanted was not possible , than her take my money and me loose my hair. Am writing this review to let any and everyone know to go elsewhere.

Mark Woods Anti-Veteran discriminatory practices are standard practice here. I was illegally denied entry for having my ADA service animal. Thats it. I walked in, was told I could not bring my service animal in. I explained that they legally cannot deny him entry without cause. They said too bad. And Im now calling Texas Bar Association to see if anyone wants a freebie. Good luck with Veterans in this area. I was looking to spend hundreds every few months too.

Titana Nevaeh Upon entering the salon, I was greeted.The salon was clean, organized and well maintained.I highly recommend this salon. Desiree was able to squeeze my other child in who wasnt on the schedule and I appreciated that. It may not be like that all the time.The customer service was exceptional. Desiree and Netta did a marvelous job on their heads. They were very patient and answered all my questions. They are nice people to. They get booked up so call ahead of time and schedule your appointment. They also do locs. They both got silk and press which was 65.00 a piece. It was definitely worth paying for. Once again, give them a call so you can look your best by the best.

Kari Urdi Eastgate Barber & Beauty Shop is a fantastic place to get a haircut! My husband and three sons have been there twice now, and weve been consistently impressed. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they do a wonderful job with the haircuts. What really stands out to me is their patience and understanding, especially with my youngest son who is on the autism spectrum. One of the stylists was absolutely amazing with him. She was so gentle and understanding, and even used a hose attachment on her clippers to minimize the noise, which was a huge help. She made the whole experience so much less stressful for him, and for me! Beyond their excellent service, theyre also very efficient. Were in and out quickly, which is a huge plus for a busy family. And theyre happy to make adjustments – my husband got his hair cut today and they were happy to take off a bit more when he asked. Weve found our go-to barbershop and will definitely be back to Eastgate!

Yazmin Sheridan Hesitantly brought my 18-month old for a haircut and they were amazing with him. His haircut was perfect, they were patient and accommodating, and we were in and out in less than 20 mins on a Sunday afternoon. My husband, son, and nephew all got haircuts during that time. They also have the best price we’ve seen anywhere in the area.

Andrew Neely Asked to get a typical haircut and showed a picture to make sure the lady understood. She immediately told me it was going to be an additional $4 because my hair was too long. My hair was about 5 inches at the longest. The sign says $16 and no where on it says there’s an up charge for hair being too long. Of course the lady tries to butter you up and asks for a tip. What kind of place does this? I’m posting this the day after because I found a patch of hair behind my ear she completely missed. I’d say 10-20 strands of hair just hanging out there. I know this isn’t Fayetteville, NC where $11 will get you a great haircut with a neck and shoulder massage included, but this is just crazy. Haircut overall quality was 3/10. 5/10 if the hair behind the ears was cut but that’s kind of not forgivable. Never going back to this place.

Nathan Luckette I asked for a medium skin fade and she immediately shaved half of my head. Had to sit and endure the feeling knowing it was insanely high. Then I go to leave and she doesnt sanitize my head. Same woman, second time shes destroyed my hair to the point I want to just shave it off. No other bad cuts from anyone but her. Avoid the blonde woman when you first walk in.

Lukas Ziegler Best place to get military haircuts. I went every Thursday for four years while stationed at Cavazos. All the ladies are very nice and do a great job, I always preferred Mo as she always enjoyed conversation. 100% recommend to all service members.

annika Michael’s instagram looked promising which is why I booked. Unfortunately my haircut turned out bad. He was stopping to check his phone often and completely messed up the top of my hair. As you can see it is not all one length, very choppy, and left a bit of hair behind my ears. Really disappointed

Emmanuel Strother $55 for a regular temp fade is crazy I don’t care if I’m a walk in that’s crazy and it wasn’t a 55 dollar haircut if you know you charging that much you need to have us agree on a price before hand because I would’ve went somewhere else. Would never recommend going in there they trynna finesse you your money better off somewhere else.

She was also extremely sanitary and educated on the services she provides. An overall great experience and I can’t wait to go back. Kya answered all my questions and even told me some things I probably wouldn’t have thought to ask. Highly recommend. YazzyWay Hair Studio is like a breath of fresh air.
