2 /5 EP: While I wish I could give a better review, the results weren’t what was asked for. I initially had black hair and was looking for a medium to dark neutral, cool town brown. I showed example photos to Maria, and she seemed very knowledgeable about the process and assured there would not be brassiness or red tones (which I specifically asked again just before service - $300). Unfortunately that’s exactly what I got. Then an attempt to tone to help, which made it black again. And then another lightening attempt which made it brassy brown again. At that point I was told to wait for natural light the next day and call. I did and it was still brassy so she offered to fix in the earliest availability. Which was great except when I got back to fix, the quoted cost was $245 for products. I said no and she offered to tone again and assured it would tame the brassiness- it did not and made it black again with brassiness. So now I’m back to wear I started and with a tone I absolutely did not want. The photos show the second attempt at fixing, first photo on the way there, and the next two photos after. UPDATE: the below response from the salon is untrue. In the initial visit, Maria promised no red/warm/brassy tone. She only in the second visit tried to talk me out of the cool neutral brown color I wanted with all this talk of maintenance etc. although I said I would have still done it- without worry of any budget constraint. Except she was then charging another $245 to make it happen. After the original $300 charged.

5 /5 aditi new: I will follow Maria wherever she goes. I’ve been going to her for maybe 6 years now and she and the other stylists have always done the most amazing job with my hair. I have long, thick, black hair. For every cut I go in with a variety of photos none looking anything like the other and Maria manages to create a unifying vision out of them. My layers are always outstanding and I am very particular about my layers! The only 2 times I’ve colored my hair was with her and both were stunning. I’m still getting compliments on my second color 2 years later. I love them all at Westvibe. They’re just a solid bunch of outstanding stylists!

5 /5 Andrea Meyer: I have been going to West Vibe Salon exclusively for about six years, and there is one solid reason: the people. The team has always been incredibly talented, professional, and, above all, kind. And they consistently deliver fantastic, high-quality results! Maria is a prime example of the abundance of talent at West Vibe. An excellent stylist, she is also a great listener, truly hearing what her clients want. As basic as this sounds, I’ve found it rare to have a stylist actually listen. After years of stylists doing the exact opposite of what I asked for, I tried West Vibe out of frustration and have stuck with them ever since! But what truly keeps me coming back is that clients aren’t just clients. We’re treated like friends and family. Yes, it is a professional relationship, but it is much like a family and friend reunion when you walk into the salon. If you want excellent styling and wonderful people, I strongly recommend giving West Vibe a shot!

5 /5 R Sav: I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored at West Vibe since 2020. I first saw Caesar for an intense color correction from my attempting to highlight my own hair during the pandemic - he did an amazing job correcting my mental breakdown lol. Since Caesar has done an exceptional job consulting coloring services that best match my complexion and maintenance preferences (6+ months). He’s done highlights to solid color, back to highlights, to toning darker, and so on. I’m always so happy with how it turns out and always get compliments on any color change and/or cut. As far as cuts go, he knows how to manage layering and thinning my very thick hair which has a natural wavy texture. Maria has also helped with highlighting, washing, and styling my hair as well and does an amazing job! I used to live on the same block as West Vibe and now I’m ~40 min away but I will commute to get my hair done here. There’s no one I trust more to take care of my hair and be honest about what color will look good on me. THANK YOU WEST VIBE!
