New Hope Church - jamaica - Jamaica (NY)

Marianne Abene Resurrection Ascension has been my home parish for more than 25 years. The Pastors have been wonderfully welcoming, compassionate, and concerned about our welfare. The Music Director, Emanuel Bologna is outstanding. The Choirs harmonies are gorgeous - the music is both soothing and uplifting. Emanuels organ playing and piano playing are exquisite. The main altar has a beautiful white statue of the Resurrected Christ that immediately mesmerized me and comforted me the first time I entered this church. The Triduum Masses, including Holy Thursday (especially the washing of 12 parishioners feet by the Pastor while the choir sings), Good Friday (incl Veneration of the Cross), Holy Saturday Vigil Mass (especially the dramatic Baptisms of RCIA candidates into the large Baptismal Pool), are all very inspiring and help to deepen my Faith. There are 2 parking lots, which are very convenient!

Mara Burns This is an amazing Christ centered, family oriented church in the heart of Queens. We have been members here since 2005 and have been blessed abundantly by the preaching, teaching, and fellowship. We are a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural church that not only teaches and preaches the Gospel, we live it.

Efuru Okororie Love coming to this church! Since I moved to NYC, it’s been a place where I’ve grown deeper with the Lord, and also made wonderful connections with people! Def recommend for anyone who’s new to town and looking for a church

Denise Law Beautiful church, friendly priests and parishioners. You will feel like family here. Parishioners and their children are actively involved in altar serving, seasonal role-playing, or Sunday School. There are daily masses at 8:30am, 3 English masses on the weekend, and one 12pm Spanish Mass every Sunday. The organist is talented and the cantors voice is angelic at the popular 10:30am Sunday English mass. The stone walls hold huge, colorful stained glass windows, and there are impressive life-sized marble statues.
